I think we're 12-1 and I'm enjoying the ride.

We'll worry about this after we win the Super Bowl.

(PS: The draft is a different story, considering now is the time to discuss it with college football winding down.)

no, teams have to go higher than our tender, and if they do and we don't match, we get draft picks as required comp

so if we tender him the highest, the 1st and 3rd round tender, not only do they have to give him a substantial contract, but also give us 2 1st day picks

What if the team is say Washington and they don't have any 1st-day picks? What happens then?

I'd never thought of that. That's a really good question!

Maybe they give it to us from the next year, and compensation with a bundle of lower round picks?

It's a horrible thing to replace the meaning of WWJD with the owner of the Cowboys.

Jerry Jones is not worthy to be compared with Jesus. I'm not ashamed to say it, blessed be the name of the Lord.

The last time Jerry tried to get the last extra piece to make another run we got Joey Galloway and three consecutive 5-11 seasons.

I think Jerry has learned his lesson.

Joey Galloway wasn't our missing piece. He was a desperate attempt to rebuild our offensive firepower while we still had Aikman. And, I know it's not the popular opinion around her, but doubling down with your last good hand before you know you are going to have to reload is the sign of aggressive team management rather than the complete disaster everyone makes it out to be.

WWJD is not a holy sequence. As far as I know, Jesus hasn't requested that we take those letters in that order out of the alphabet. He hasn't told me to stop using them yet, anyway.

As for the rest of your post, it kind of makes me really uncomfortable. Is that intentional, or incidental?

No, it's uncomfortable for me to be silent when anyone casually replaces the name of Jesus, as though it's interchangeable with any common name.

I simply state this because it's inappropriate, and though I fully expect to be ridiculed for it, I'm saying it anyway.

WOW....this is a team dominating the NFC at 12-1, and all the players listed are major contributors.

I'd resign all of them if possible. JJ is the easiest to replace, however.

Unless someone gets overly greedy and another team offers them ridiculous money, I'd definitely resign every single one of them.

Let JJ walk.

Re-Sign Barber, Adams, Hamlin

Crayton, depends on his price, but would like to keep him

I agree with all, except we over pay if required to keep Crayton.....he is tough

Part of that may have been it took him awhile to recover from that ACL? I mean he's been successful since.

Yep and I wish we still had him, I still ask this today, why did Dallas give Galloway for Meshaun?

If he was still here, TG could take his time coming back, and we would probably be undefeated.

MBIII is a restricted free agent after this year. I think you have to see what it takes to sign a 3-4 year deal now. If he wants top 5 money then you tender him and move RB up the draft need list. #3 on this list.

Julius Jones is an unrestricted free agent (UFA). See you bye.

Patrick Crayton UFA. Again, see what he wants to stay. Might have to let him test the market. I would think WR would be a draft need anyway. #4 on the priority list.

Flozell Adams UFA. Have to pay Flo more so than anyone else, #1 on this list. He's played very well this year plus a 2nd year LT will slow down next year's run. Moving Big over to LT would be a mistake.

Ken Hamlin UFA. Ken is a keeper. #2 on this list in terms of priority.

See above.

You are entitled to your opinion, but please remember that not everyone here shares your religious beliefs or your thoughts on that phrase. That you associate that phrase with your religion is certainly commendable, but being outraged at those who may not have a clue about the association is a little excessive.

Jerry Jones said a few weeks back that he would like to bring the whole team back next year. I believe him.
1) I think the best offer Julius Jones receives will be a 1 yr/2yr deal with the Cowboys and try the market next year sort of like Columbo. Good for the Cowboys and good for JJ who is having a mediocre season this year.

2) Crayton wants to stay a Cowboy. His meal ticket is here (Romo/TO/Witten). Think team chemistry. Wade is all for it. Crayton will stay imo. Cowboys have the cap room to sign him. $2 mil/yr $5 mil SB, imo?

3) Flozell is the biggest question mark. He wants to stay here in Dallas and retire a Cowboy. He may have 2 yrs left as a starter and 3 yrs as a backup if he wants to continue to play. I think the ball is in Flo's court. If he will sign a reasonable contract, Jerry will keep him. If not, Free, McQ, and Marten are all waiting. I personally would roll the dice on McQ and Free.

4) MBIII will sign a long term contract this spring. I'm guessing around the same amount Safety Roy Williams got. $10 mil signing bonus and $3-4 mil/yr.

5) Ken Hamlin will stay, imo. Although Wash might make a run for him. Depends on the money. Cowboys might move Henry to safety though if they draft a top CB.

6) I hope Reeves will also stay. But, he will get a lot of interest on the FA market. If the Cowboys have something in Brown or Ball (should know a little in these next 3 weeks) they might let Reeves walk. Also, depends on if the Cowboys draft a top CB.

Being silent is wrong in this free society we live in. I've finished reading a book, called "the new tolerance" and it's become very clear that being silent while atheistic values are reinforced daily throughout our country is very harmful.

I said it to remind everyone that messing with the name is Jesus is not right.

It NEEDS to be said by someone! It's not excessive in the slightest.

You must have a major problem with Hispanic people who happened to be named Jesus.

WWJD is a pop culture reference that was popularized by Christians in the 1990s. Prior to that the phrase WWJD had no meaning whatsoever. It's not even Scripturally-based

I'm not saying the phrase itself is holy or Scripturally based, but using that well known phrase, and substituting another name for Jesus, it's simply not right.

As for naming a son Jesus, I think it's a name that should not be used, because you know as a parent, you're going to at some point, going to have to yell out his name, either to call him, or to get his attention. It's not good for a common name either.

Yes, you can roll your eyes at me, but that name should be retired from use as a common name. It's a name that deserves unique respect from all others.
