This board has the biggest bunch of fair weather fans I've ever seen. I too wanted our team to win yesterday, but they didn't. I've been a poster on this board for a while, but seldom post. I usually just read what you guys have to say on a day-to-day basis, but it's crazy how after we beat the Giants last week, it was total bliss around here. My laptop dang there floated off of my table because everyone was so high. I was reading things like "Rob has this defense flying around." "We looked great at closing the game, fighting through adversity on that last drive with the touchdown to Miles." Today, I see things like the offense is predictable, Rob needs to dial it back and let the defense play. After one loss, we've gone from the top of the heap to the absolute WORST team in ALL of football!

I'm a crazed fan of these Dallas Cowboys and have been one for the last 30 plus years, but ONE loss isn't going to have me on the ledge like I see most people on this board. If i'm not mistaken, I think there are about 14 more games to play before it's all said and done.

We played a terrible game yesterday from the opening gun until the clock read 0:00. We went into a tough place to play, were flat and got beat, that's all that happened yesterday. On to the next one people, come in off of the ledge and close the window.

I know I'll get roasted for posting this, because some of you just want to cry in your beer until next week. I can take it.

Losses suck.

Idiots posting mindless drivel about a loss sucks worse! :bang2:

Couldn't agree more. The extreme ups and downs on here are crazy.

LOL - who thinks Jerrys' Way is just about one game.

Jerrahlusion has been going on for 17 years.

This is the point. It's so easy to forget the past and look at just this season and say it's only one game.

But the past tells us that since Jimmy walked out the door of VR on that dreary March day in 1993, it's been a long, downhill slide.

And yet a post just like yours is here after every loss, every year.

The last two years we have been 8-8 and 6-10.

2011 8-8-0 T2nd -- NFC East -- Jason Garrett

2010 6-10-0 T3rd -- NFC East -- Wade Phillips,Jason Garrett

2009 11-5-0 1st -- NFC East 1-1 - Lost Divisional Playoffs Wade Phillips

2008 9-7-0 3rd -- NFC East -- Wade Phillips

2007 13-3-0 1st -- NFC East 0-1 - Lost Divisional Playoffs Wade Phillips

2006 9-7-0 2nd -- NFC East 0-1 - Lost Wild Card Playoffs Bill Parcells

2005 9-7-0 3rd -- NFC East -- Bill Parcells

2004 6-10-0 T2nd -- NFC East -- Bill Parcells

2003 10-6-0 2nd -- NFC East 0-1 - Lost Wild Card Playoffs -- Bill Parcells

I have to wonder if the years we had a 10+ win season were years we had a soft schedule.

This team does not intimidate and force their will on other teams. They are not a brute strength team. They are designed much like the 70's teams who could win until they met teams that rapped them in the mouth with hard knuckles.

This is still the same game, no matter how much they try and put a dress and pigtails on it.

You force the other guy to back down.

This team is led by a finesse coach and a clueless GM.

They are made in the image of their makers.

True that in the short term it's just one loss.

But viewing the overall picture, it's more of what we've seen from this team for several seasons now, lack of effort and the ability to quit.

So folks have a reason to be concerned.

Not so much the loss but how it happened. We got thoroughly OWNED.

I think a lot of the gloom today (at least for me) stems from the fear that we saw the real 2012 Cowboys team yesterday.

1. The lousy ST play that has been a problem for years.

2. The weak O-line that helped produce 49 total rushing yards and a 9-yard gain as the long run of the day. Plus allowing the defense to chase Romo around more times than not.

3. The defense that can't get off the field, especially when it comes to a 3rd down stop -- another chronic problem.

Since I don't see any miracle cures coming for these systemic problems, I think that, this year, we'll see more Seattle Seahawk-type games than we will NY Giants-type efforts.

Completely. It's not like this team lost with some pride still attached. They got manhandled.

It was men against Boys out there. Hell, I bet my local HS football team would of gave Seattle a better game.

THAT'S what frustrates most fans in here. It's the same deal, different year. you think they turn a corner, and they revert back to the crap pile that Dallas has been for years now.

There is never any intensity on this team any longer. No emotion. No Chip, no nasty. High profile "playmakers" too many times disappear in games.

You are right. I wish someone would've said something after Sean Lee got lit up like that.

Or did something after the hit. But, nothing.

This team doesn't have that player that can bring the nasty. Too much finesse and not enough nasty. me and a buddy watched the last few minutes of the Deadskins/ Rams game. Holy hell, there was all kinds of nasty going on in that game. the players were bringing. Not like Dallas, who looked like a bunch of drunks walking aimlessly through a park.

Maybe the one player that does bring the nasty was the one that got hit.

Well, then they need about 52 more instead of 53. Cause I so nobody do anything to rectify the situation.

Doesn't matter. In a few more years, this football thing will be played with flags.

Are you saying Parcells and Phillips were finesse coaches?

Name the last season YOU think this was a knuckle scrapping team of hardasses.

And yes, since Wade had Garrett as the OC, I'd say they were soft.

it's not just this board.

I was at a sports bar yesterday and they were even worse. the most fickle, ignorant fans on the planet root for the same team I root for.

The 90's...

My point is - it's not the coaches. I'm know Garrett is trying to change the culture - but, culture changes usually take a long time.

Having said that, sometimes leaders have to make an uncomfortable decision to get people's attention and signal that 'business as usual' will not be tolerated.

If I were Garrett, I would probably cut Felix Jones. It would send a signal to the team - and to Jerry Jones.

BTW - what is the 1 common denominator since the teams of the 90's?

that is a usual rubbish excuse

how long did it take jim harbaugh to "change the culture" in SF?

all this "process" and "right direction" stuff is just distraction and excuses-making
