I was reading one thread from last year and a guy (can't remember his name, he seems to be benched now) actually predicted 1800+ yards and 19 TDs for Murray or something to that affect - he definitely specified 1800 yards. I wish he wasn't benched, I want to know how many yards Randle/McFadden are going to get this year.

On a side note, man, it's nice how the general consensus on the forum has changed over the last 12 months. We really needed that influx of wins to flush out a lot of the animosity between Cowboys fans. I've been around enough to know that that all changes if we have a below-.500 record for even a game at any point this coming season, but for now, I'm going to enjoy it.

Also, I'm basking some more in the vindication of having been right about Jason Garrett all along, again. Man, he better keep the winning going or I'm going to have some backpedalling to do, but for now, I'm going to continue to rub that in some, too. :)

Yes it was. But what put us over the top IMO was Marinelli taking over the D, and the genius move of bringing in Linny.

I just hope we didn't get cocky by not signing Demarco. It sort of reminds me the way we talk about the Oline, like the 90's when JJ said 100 coaches could coach this team. We will soon find out and it starts tonight!

To be fair, we won't really find out until the regular season. I think last year the Cowboys were 0 and 4 in preseason. That only served to confirm what many of us were afraid of for the upcoming season. But I'm with you. I do wonder if the Cowboys aren't as smart as they think they are in terms of not addressing the RB position in the wake of Demarco's exodus.

I *didn't* make a season record prediction last season, because I thought we'd gotten worse defensively but still believed Garrett was the right coach for us. I didn't want to say less than 8-8, but at the same time, thought treading water looked like a reasonable accomplishment. It was great when things went our way and we somehow ended up where we did.

In my defense, I also always hate making season predictions, because so few plays divide the winners from the losers, and so many things can impact a team's performance anyway. It really is just blind guessing when you don't know how many games key players are going to miss on your time or on the teams you're playing against.

I'm not a big fan of making predictions either; but I'm predicting 10 and 6 this year. lol

I believe the Cowboys improved, but I also think the difficulty of their schedule may have increased, as well.

1600...split between the two of them.

I never claimed to be a Garrett defender or apologist, as I recognized there was definite room for improvement in his in-game management, but even back then I recognized the direction of the team was in a positive direction. So I'll go ahead and pat myself on the back, too!!!

LOL, big difference.

Incidentally, does anyone know what happened to Chocolate Lab? He has been around for years and now he hasn't posted since October 2nd of last season.

I wonder what happened to chocolate? Also what happened to the guy...... I cannot remember his name but his sig was him in Cowboy paint shaking Jerry's hand on the street.

You're referring to Crazy Cowboy. He was just on here right before TC saying he would be there. It was a mask I believe as well, not paint btw.

10-6 is my prediction when we're good, too. 6-10 if I think we'll be bad. 8-8, obviously, if I'm unsure. Covers all the basis and doesn't expose anything.
