...and are on pace to force 34 turnovers on the season.

In 2012, we forced 16 turnovers for the season.

Amazing turnaround.

Amazing indeed. It's so much more satisfying (and fun) to actually cheer for a defense that strips ball carriers, swarms to the ball, and even scores touchdowns.

Even more comforting is we can almost be certain they'll get better and better as the season progresses and players get more comfortable and confident in the scheme.

One things thats tough when it comes to turnovers, is that we have played teams with pretty safe offenses. The Skins run the ball, Alex Smith and Peyton never force anything, and Phillip Rivers just checked down a ton. Its hard to really cause a lot of turnovers when that happens.

Its not the rate of last year; it is a 20% improvement, if you remove the Giants game.

The point is the only thing this defense does better than last year is force TOs and it's not even that much better since the Giants game.

It was 6 games ago, which means we've been regressing, which means we'll soon be worse than last year... if you want to play that game.

Seriously.

It's completely ridiculous for someone to evaluate this defense's ability to generate turnovers but not give them an ounce of credit for the whopping five they caused in week 1.

Hey well yeah. We still can't get turnovers. I mean take away a game that counts and what do you have, huh!

I'm saying since then they only forced 6. Is that a falsehood?
