I have no issue saying Zeke needs to do some growing up but I have a hard time buying what Thompson is claiming. When I see sworn statements from Thompson own friend saying she was being asked to lie to police about Zeke I have a hard time giving this woman any credibility. There is also sworn statements of a physical confrontation that Thompson had with another woman during this time frame the league has used.

Then your no better than the commissioner - who makes judgement based on opinion and emotions rather than true factual evidence.

I disagree. Commissioner is a lot better than me, that's why he is commissioner and I am an anonymous poster on a fan forum. Also, if you read the reports he had a lot of independent input on the Zeke investigation, and they all recommended this level of discipline.

Threads have exploded this week about Zeke Elliott and all aspects of his suspension, the NFL, the Columbus police, the players union, Jerry's reaction, and what the options are going forward.

All of that doesn't address the single most important question going forward.

Will Ezekiel Elliott change his ways? Or will he one of those many players that just spiral themselves into football oblivion.

Josh Gordon, Plaxico Burress, Rolando McClain, Greg Hardy, Lawrence Phillips, Vince Young, Johnny Manziel, Aldon Smith, Stanley Wilson........

Can Zeke stop? Can he nip this in the bud and change his lifestyle, the people he associates with, the women he chooses, the nature of his instinctive ways? His reputation is one of a unquenchable thirst to take every party to the extreme.

This suspension will pass, if it even ends up being a suspension. I'm a lot more worried about the NEXT suspension if he doesn't get his ship in order.

Great player. Good-natured, fun-loving kid. But obviously there is an addiction to partying that tends to only trend one direction with most people like him.

If a significant change doesn't occur, this career could flash and flame out almost overnight.

He is getting punished for the Domestic Violence claims by the girl.

The other issues didn't help him, but the DV claim is what got him a 6 game suspension.

The only way these guys can avoid these issues is to get married and even then it's no guarantee. No person should be forced to get married. This is not the middle-ages and we're in America.
