Lets take it back a few years....Murray was coming off his best season and looking for a big contract. The love between Adrian Peterson and Jerry was mutual. It was no secret Peterson wanted to play in Dallas and Jerry wanted him here. How much did Jerry think Peterson would be coming to Dallas play into the decision not to resign Murray? I believe that Jerry was not worried about losing Murray because he believed he would still get Peterson. As we all know, That didn't happen.

So for those who don't believe Jerry and Garrett don't think a quality RB is important, think again. They know how important and effective Murray was in 2014 and how the offense controlling the clock really helped the defense. So don't be surprised when they draft Elliott. They remember how hard it was for our offense to stay on the field last year which in turn wore our defense out. Jerry will get his quality RB at #4. Bank on it!

The vikings were NEVER trading AP, it doesn't matter who AP wanted to play for or what Jerry wanted....and it would have been stupid to pay Murray that contract, he wasn't worth it, See Marion Barber...in today's NFL, thee most interchangeable position to fill is at running back, you use them and then move on and get another one...Dallas isn't taking Zeke at 4, not in today's NFL..

And listening to Jerry's Draft presser, today, he once again sounds like a guy that should be committed, rambles on and on , says nothing or double talks about nothing.....Steven makes sense and answers questions the best without giving away their thinking and Garret sounded if it was up to him on draft day, he'd select Ramsey at 4

Draft Tunsil if he falls, then trade the rest of the draft picks to get back up into the top 10-15, and get EE.

Championship!!

My god does no one remember our two most important players were out for a majority of the year? That's a big part of why our defense played so much. Our QB's couldn't complete a pass further than 5 yards. Doesn't matter who the RB is if there are 9 guys in the box.

You forgot a couple of facts.

The offense couldn't stay on the field because Romo was out 3/4 of the season, and Bryant also missed 5 games and wasn't 100% when he returned.

Put Romo and Bryant in for 16 games and the offense would have been just fine.

And it still would've took E Manning Giving us the ball back so that we could have a chance at winning .............to, actually, win.

Romo & the O struggled last year before the injured took place......

It's our scheme fault....... That is priority numero uno Unless Romo changes to the correct play, we are screwed regardless

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Jerry took Elliot. Zeke is the brightest, shiniest, new player who will be available at #4, and the fans presumably need something to motivate them after this soporific off-season and endless defensive line troubles. I think it would be great, but we probably should go with Bosa.

1. What Jerry wanted made a huge difference in this. You're kidding yourself if you think different.
2. Your assumption Murray would be Barber is based on what exactly? Oh, that's right, all things are the same in the NFL.
3. Today's NFL changed before you wrote that sentence. To suggest things are set in stone because of some unwritten rule discounts teams mimics what works, and what works usually is something new.

Now I am not saying they will draft Zeke. But withe the QB's gone, that will produce more for both the offense and defense than any defender they draft. Because moving the chains is what made 2014.

what made 2014 was the ability of the defense to create turnovers and the ability of the QB to limit the turnovers on offense, control the clock keeping your defense fresh......a cast off Mcfadden had 1100 yards in the 11 games he started last year from the underwear thief,.no starting QB or starting wide receiver.....Barber was given a huge deal and fell off, Julius Jones was suppose the next Emmitt, but after the last 8 monster games of his rookie season, he never became what the Cowboys thought he was....If Murray was so great, why did he fail in Philly, because as I hold true, the offensive line makes a back, not the other way round and tying that much money up in Murray would have been a huge mistake.....

And AP wasn't going any where, his pouting was nothing more than to re-negotiate his contract for more guaranteed money, if you bought into that the vikings were going to trade him, then all I can say is what Bill Parcells once said, considered yourself sucked!!
