I heard Norm talking about this and thought he was right on to emphasize the crucial importance of the Cowboys drive in the late 3rd quarter to retake the lead.

Philly had just scored on four straight possessions to go ahead. The Cowboys offense was struggling after starting hot, the defense looked like it had no answers, and the momentum was totally on Philly's side. If they offense craps the bed after the Philly go-ahead TD, it might not have been pretty in the fourth quarter. The season may very well have been resting on the offense on that next drive.

So eight plays, 78 yards, TD. Four runs, four passes. Here are the touches: Murray, Dez, Witten, Murray, Murray, Murray, Dez, Murray. Talk about knowing where your bread is buttered. The clock never stopped once during the entire drive. Just a huge response by the offense.

Agreed. That drive was key to the season.

I was really impressed with the composure and resolve the team showed there.

Many teams would have gotten rattled and possibly let the game get away from them.

I thought it was very impressive in how we responded.

I thought after beating Philly down the sideline with Dez earlier, going to the in cuts to get the offense reinvigorated was a great move. He beat the defense several times with that route, including one of Romo's few misses on the last FG drive.

That's the drive that this team couldn't put together in recent years. Balanced, efficient, seemingly effortless.

It's nice that everything isn't depending on Romo all the time, and he looks so much better because of it.

Momentum and the Philly crowd were eager to steamroll the team at that point but they stuck their foot in the ground and said NO!

That was a great drive to say the least.

They were ready to ring the bell...then found out it still has that crack in it, and they went THUD.....

Was that after the sack/fumble? That drive was gorgeous.

Yes, and the crowd was the loudest I've ever heard in Philly after that strip, the momentum swing was the largest I had ever witnessed live. We seemed so inept on both sides of the ball and then that amazing series with 2 quick strike deep passes to Dez and Murray's long run on 2nd down (!) - just took the life out of the crowd - first time we blew our cover and started screaming. The Wilcox int brought out the boo birds in force and they never really recovered.

Holding them to a filed goal in their next series felt almost as important - fans really started to leave after that.

Everything bad that could have happened happened before that drive, philly offense started to click, our offense stalled, the philly DL was getting into the back field again, crown was into it, and then Romo fumbled.

Before that drive I was sitting there, thinking 'uh, oh'

That drive was as clutch as any drive in recent cowboy history

The Defense came right out and answerd the offense with a wilcox int, very good team football

You want to point to a series of plays that says this is a different group, point your finger right here. That drive was gutsy and that place was ready to celebrate another cowboy collapse.
Last yrs group would have folded.
