Joe Walsh - He stole the show in many ways.

Glen Frey - the leader and it shows

Timothy B. Schmit - sings up high, plays down lowwwwww.... lol

And.... Last but not least....

Don Henley - this guy hits ALL THE NOTES as if it were still the 70's

I watch the history of the Eagles everytime it comes on the tube. For a band that back in the day you thought was pretty wholesome and down to earth the drug use and fist fights seemed out of place.

If I had to believe something just for the simple case of believe it or not... I would say this is probably accurate.

Henley always reminded me of a little Napoleon but I think he is a good guy.
He is also involved with a lake that I spent a lot of time at as a kid, Lake Caddo in east Texas, he has been quite the activist in keeping the lakes pristine beautiful ecosystem alive and untouched by human hands.

Lucky! What a great concert to see. Back in the 70's The Eagles were an enigma, they were like gods. Much like Zep, Pink Floyd, and Fleetwood Mac. I remember being a kid and wondering what it would be like to see them. I didn't even know there were concerts and that you actually COULD see them back then, lol. But there music was so other-worldly, I don't even think in my child's mind, that I equated them to humanism, but thought they must be from some other realm. Strange I know, but those bands had a quality to their sound that the others just did not possess. They really were so special.

Yep. A unique sound all their own. Eagles, you know it when you hear them.
Journey, you know that steve perry voice, boston, etc.....

Song writing that rivaled The Beatles, the musicality of Zeppelin, and harmonies as great as The Beach Boys. I would call them easily the best American rock band.

I went when they came through DFW back in February, it was great I agree with your assessment. They have an extra huge following here because of Don Henley's North Texas connections, they actually played 3 shows in Dallas during the tour. I wasn't thinking about Joe Walsh's great side stuff going in so that was a great addition. I took my parents who are in their 60's and big Eagles fans back to when they first got married.

Sounds like a great show. The last 2 times they came through here the tickets were way to expensive for us to go. After you add the fees and taxes the nose bleeds would have cost us $250 for both of us and that is insane. Throw in the babysitter, dinner, snack and drinks and I start getting dizzy.

The also played at MSG on Sat. 9/13, my wife and I went to that show and they were stellar as always. We had dinner at Nick & Stef's Steakhouse before the show, which I also highly recommend. All in all a great night in NYC.

The Eagles......timeless!! Remember how you used to buy a vinyl album and hoped for one or two songs to be great, while the rest was "fluff" or crap? Not the Eagles......all songs were great!
(BTW, looking forward to coming back to NYC over the Christmas holidays for our annual trip to the Big Apple. Hoping we hit it at the time of SantaCon!)

Also, make sure you look at side of building in Rockefeller center... The lights are orchestrated to play on side of building to "Carol of the Bells"..... Very cool!
