Mickey was just on The Fan.
They told him to slow down and save some for tomorrow. Mickey said, he couldn't as their is way too much to talk about.

They asked him..one thing to be concerned about, and one thing that is overblown.
Concern, a possible suspension of Damien Wilson. That the incident itself, where he tapped the lady in the knee with his truck, but then she hit the truck herself. That is not the concern of course, but the NFL will look at the gun incident, did he pull the gun, and what did he do, what was said and all of that. All of that is obvious.

Overblown...possibly all the stuff with Zeke. It is all weird, what are they looking for and what are they finding. Are the NFL investigators that much better than the Columbus police and detectives?
1 year and they have nothing.
the bar incident, he had a body guard there, but what did he do, but it happened at 7:34, but not reported until 9:40.

On Irving. maybe some miscommunication. He was in LA and thought he was to meet the team there. But h e did a knuckle head thing. He was asked to sponsor a new supplement, and he said ok....he should have did what the team and the NFL asks. Check with us, so we can see what is in the supplement. Just as he should have asked the team, where to meet, in Dallas or in LA.
(but I can see where he would think, stay in LA.)

1st few practices will br like mini camp. But now it will be interesting to see who lines up where. As in OTA's, and MC, they had players lined up in many different positions, just t get a feel for ho can do what and where.

Now David Moore, and the ticket has their own agenda.
Said they can't see the NFL leaving this open for a year, to say we can't find anything. So expect a 1 to 2 game suspension, if for anything, the NFL to save face. that when they seem to want to close the investigation, something else pops up. Which is true. Though each in itself is nothing.
All happen before he was in the NFL, and the text is a grey area. After the draft, but before he was signed.

compared this to the government vs. Al Capone...they knew he was guilty, but could not find enough evidence, so the got him on tax evasion....so nothing on the DV, but get him on the text about the drug test. Typical Ticket BS drama....
So if nothing comes down this week, and it will not happen the week of the HOF inductions. Then if it happens toward the end of TC. Then Zeke can have a week, or possibly 2 to appeal. then there is a time period and the process of all of that. So he could most likely play the 1st 2 or 3 games before having a 1 or 2 game suspension.

Thanks for the recap Jazz!

In my opinion, that would be the ideal scenario. Let Zeke play against the Giants and Broncos, but if Zeke absolutely has to miss 2 games, let him miss against the Cardinals and Rams...I'd say we have a better chance against them w/our backups there, but I could certainly be wrong. I, in particular, just hate him missing that Giants game, because I honestly do wonder how much Mara has to do with this year + long investigation. After all said done, if Zeke still plays and beats his Giants, that would make everything else totally worth it. Although, admittedly, it would be a heck of alot better if Zeke missed and we still beat his Giants....but I'd rather not risk it.

Anyone see anything wrong this statement?
The NFL is not the government and Zeke is most certainly not Al Capone. The NFL is going to be the undoing of itself if they keep up with this type of investigation non-sense.

I think the statements JJ made last week were specifically intended to send a clear message to Goodell. Jerry took the high road on what he perceived as injustices in the past - wont be the case this time around.

I missed that. What comments did Jerry make?

Every time I think of these players either being suspended or rumors they will be, I think of this ..

I think of Jurassic World and the dialogue between the owner of the park (Masrani) and the scientist (Wu).

NFL players are theme park monsters with good and bad characteristics. They are expected to act and perform a certain way but then are punished by the league when they are true to their nature.

I still believe in the law and believe the law should deal with those who break it. The NFL should stick to nurturing the monster theme park reality they created and stay out of legal issues.

Can you suspend someone for a text saying he knew he would pass? I know I would pass a drug test. That doesn't make me guilty of anything.
Thank you. That's exactly what I was thinking. I think that girl may have been trying to set him up by wording it some kind of way.

With the rumors leaked that Elliott could face a 1-2 game suspension, that puts a lot of pressure on the league. To then come out and state there is no punishment is going to make them look feeble and weak again.

What a joke.

One of the most concerning things about the league today is how obsessed they are with being portrayed positively by the media. This wouldn't be a problem if the media did not sensationalize or fabricate narratives or have various agendas,,, but they do. So now we've got NFL execs increasingly making consequential decisions based upon false media 'demands',,, I've seen this movie and it doesn't end well.

I have no doubt that Zeke was worried about passing the test. I have no illusions about whom we drafted, he is still a very young man who can overcome some of his bonehead decisions see Dez for example. The honeymoon phase is rapidly fading and excuses will be looked at differently from here on out.

If he's this clueless, no wonder he couldn't find Aaron Rodgers when we needed him to. :(

I agree and the whole "deflate-gate" thing was absurd. I know most will agree with the punishment that the Patriots got because they hate Brady and Belichick. But honestly, how would you have felt about the whole deflate football deal had it been Belichick complaining that the Colts did that to them? Do you really think you would have been ok with the Colts losing a first round pick and a four game suspension for Andrew Luck?

This is the whole problem with Roger Goodell's NFL. He constantly caters to the media and public perception. The majority of the owners hate the Patriots and the Cowboys but that should never factor into anything that Goodell does and we have already seen that it does.

The NFL has gotten so dirty and devious that It feels like they can do anything they want whether it is right or wrong. Boy, do I miss Pete Rozelle's NFL.
