I have a fellow DC area Cowboys fan. He claims 105.3 was on The Fan in DC stating the Cowboys to finish third behind the Commanders and Giants. This guy is known to say stuff to spark conversation and bs people. It would seem this is the case again.
I have not been on the radio to confirm this as crap but his words don't match what I have heard from folks on 105.3.

Here is his exact text:

"The fan in Dallas was just on the Fan here in DC and they predicted the division as Wsh, NYG 1-2 and said Dallas is a train wreck with all the issues and Romos imminent injury. They said Jones has totally screwed up the backup QB and good chance they finish last again. I was a bit surprised they were that negative. "

The only way Dallas finishes that low is if they lose multiple top players on both sides of the ball, for the entire season.

Personally, I think Dallas will win the division.

Wait, so your buddy says he heard something on the radio but it makes you mad he sent you a text like that?

I am in total agreement with you. I was mainly curious as to wether this is truth or not to this claim of them saying so on air. I kind of doubt it since most likely there would be a 20 page thread already discussing them saying so. LOL

Not mad, just questioning if it was true that they said it is all. He has a knack for stretching the truth a bit so it's hard to know what he says as truth sometimes.

The fact that you not only listen to the fan, but also value the dumb things they say diminishes my opinion of you

I am not in DC and don't listen to the Fan there. I'm not sure why he does but perhaps its because there isn't a lot of choice in the DC market. I lived there awhile until a couple of years back. He's usually remarking at the level of Kool Aid skins fans are drinking this year up there.

I guess that's fair but I look at our schedule and see 11-5 with Romo staying healthy. 9-7 at worst if Romo stays healthy.

Washington is going to have an awful season IMO and Philly won't be too far behind them.

This division is Dallas or NYGs and the only reason we are currently a "train wreck" is because we are the most discussed team in the NFL.

Did they pick Pittsburgh to be a train wreck since Martavis Bryant and Leveon Bell are suspended? Probably not.

As long as Romo is standing we are a top 5 NFC team.

Yeah, I am in agreement on Romo's health being the key factor in having a good year or not. No doubt about that. I think the defense is better than most fear it is. I do think the majority would agree (Romo supporter or not) that we are in trouble if he goes down. Dak may turn out to be a fine QB at some point but I can't imagine a scenario where it would be in 2016 though. It seems a bit too soon. Happy to be wrong about that.

.

Look at the uniform violation of wearing the Arm an Arm sticker. I'll be willing to bet that would be promoted and supported if it were another market. How that violates anything other than the league making a buck off it is beyond me.

Giants are the team I'm most worried about. Commanders were only the best of a bad bunch. Giants and Cowboys should both be better. If Romo goes down Cowboys are screwed. But you can say the same if Manning or Cousins go down also.

nassib is playing poorly in ny tonight against a backup defense in miami. I thought he was a better player.
