I really want Romo's replacement to be a 6'4" 235 lb, big-arm passer. Romo is magic, but I want that prototype QB back there.

I'm still waiting for the day that we see a 300lb QB who is actually a good QB. (Not just a fat JaMarcus Russell)
Why couldn't a big guy be an effective QB?
They could take hits at least.
Generally, bigger guys are slower and have slower foot work. This would prove problematic for a quarterback because:
1. Foot work is critical to throwing the football properly
2. An immobile quarterback, even a 300 lb one, would be a sitting duck and would get killed by faster, just as big defensive linemen.
3. Three-step drops would become seven-step drops as a heavier quarterback would take longer to get to his spot on the field.
Good info. Never really thought about that, especially the dropback.
