For all posters/fans NOW saying they wanted Wentz or Goff, remember Tony Romo was still our starting QB with intentions of playing 2-3 more years. THAT was the straw behind the FO decision not to trade up for either QB. Investing a high pick, along with additional picks in a QB would've created QB controversy immediately. FO had no intention of threatening Romo's status at the time.......
Dallas wanted Wentz bad. Really bad. There was hope he'd slide to them. That's why Philly traded up.

Philly was also lucky that Minnesota panicked last year and offered a 1st and 4th for Bradford which somewhat but not totally offset what they gave up for Wentz.

Goff is still shaky. As one poster pointed out, McVay not only helps him with the pre-snap reads, he's scheming talented WRs open the same way Kyle Shanahan did in ATL last year with package plays. The Rams have taken advantage of bad defenses with timely plays and then run up the score. Good defenses have pretty much shut them down - Sea, Minn, Wash (at the time) and Jax (they beat the Jags 27-17, but had a KO return for a TD, 1 yard drive on 3 plays TD and only one legit 66 yard drive for a TD). In short, bet against the Rams in the playoffs (but not the Saints).

Very nice top 5 picks. Too bad Dallas ended up with the one that will be the first to leave his team or be out of the league.
