Yes, the network lets Tony out of a contract, Jerry makes the offer. Thus, a new era begins.
Garrett vacates, then Romo and Kellen and bits of Kitna. For 5-6 years of good times with few playoffs.
    Greatest show on earth!!!!
How enamored are yew of Romo as HC?
    Huh, hale fellows?

I mean stranger things have happened. Wouldn’t surprise me at all.

    The irony for JG lol

Wouldn’t let the guy compete for his job, so he takes yours lol.

Around here, we have a strict rule: At least one year's experience as a QB coach first!

Not going to happen any time soon. Romo is on the record stating that he might consider coaching MANY years down the road context meaning when his children are grown. But by that time he will be making so much money in the booth ( they payed Madden 8 mill a year years ago ) he prob will never coach. Its likely he will be pulling down 12-15 mill in a few years. Its possible he may become a General Manager some day if Stephen ever hires one but I doubt it. Head coaches salary these day range from 5-10 mill a year. That means in order for Romo to take a head coaches position he would have to take a pay cut and work 60-70 hours a week. Its just not going to happen.

    No, you are wrong.
Romo feels he has unfinished business in Dallas.
His ego will win out. Sooner than later. Watch (or hear) romo's quotes from now on. They might be telling.

Definitely still talking about a guy who took a vacation to Mexico during the bye week in the playoffs during his playing days. And he's only gotten fatter, richer, and more content in life since then. So I don't think he has the hunger to put in the kind of hours he'd have to put in as a head coach. It's a real grind.

So few star players thrive as coaches. I've seen nothing to think Romo would be well-positioned to buck that trend. Especially with the money and success and praise he's seeing as a broadcaster, making him even less hungry.

Yep and from a guy who was reported spending more time in the film room than anyone. The guy who can tell you what the defense is running and what play is called. yep that guy?
Pretty sure he is a family man who wants to spend time with his family.

Just Stop Romo has unfinished business alright . Its called raising his kids as he has said being there while they are growing up . He only gets the chance to do it once and that is what he is committed to right now being a great father .

The job he has now pays him great and lets him have that time , beyond that he is doing an incredible job at it and IMO and many others he is the best analyst in the business already .

Why would he put his family on the back burner and take on a time consuming job working under the constraints of Jerry for less pay

So you are saying next season is a wash?

Why bother show up then, or follow the team, or watch? A year lost of our fandom lives

people still mention cabo as if it made any difference to the game result? romo basically installed and ran the offense when he was here. that was stated by butler. if he wanted to, he'd be fine at Xs and Os. romo was and still is a competitor in all areas. the only thing keeping him from doing it now would be his kids. for you to insinuate him as lazy and always looking for the easy comfortable road is a bit out of touch. this isn't 8 years ago on espn anymore....
