I hate to say it but I really cant stand Flo, he is just stupid in my opinion. He is the Jeff George of offensive linemen. He has all the talent in the world, but a 10 cent brain. He has been in the league for how long now and he still cant figure out that stuff like that does nothing but hurt the team?

Pretty sure he's partially def in one ear. How much that plays into his biggest problem of starting early I dunno but given how well he plays when healthy I can live with a weekly false start.

As pissed as I get, I'd rather a weekly false start than a weekly sack.

He's definitely coming to the end of his career and I hope the team makes an attempt at finding his replacement in the near future. Current replacements aren't gonna work unless they improve a lot.

I doubt Flo even saw the ref and I doubt any of the lineman would seen the ref for obvious reasons. Slightly dirty hardnose play is vital to playing D and O line, not all the time but sometimes it is a necessary evil. You have to remember that they are not playing kick ball. I remember several years ago when Flo got hit dead in the fellas in Minnesota, if he was nastier that would have probably never happened or at least he should have retaliated at some point during the game.

I am not advocating whole sale anarchy but I can forgive those types of plays a lot easier then those of the procedural variety.

Yeah, good point (even though I don't agree about the play in question). The problem with Flo in general is that he commits excessive procedural penalties. And he's got an inconsistent motor, IMO. You can't give 110%. Nobody really gives 100%. The best you're ever going to do is probably about 97%. Flo's a 78%er.

From what I can tell it looked like Flo missed the block and stuck his arm out and clotheslined the guy? Not 'punched the guy ala Larry Holmes'
Being that I'm looking at a tiny utube vid of it's hard to tell.
Bad play but Flo is keeping people off of our MVP so as long as he does he can stay.

Ya and it killed our drive. There's a difference between "nasty" and just ****ing stupid.

^^^ This. That's the kind of thing that costs us a game when it's close and heading to the final minutes.

Ah now, let him use his binoculars if he wants to.

After all, they work at the game when you need a closer look. Why not at home?

:laugh2: You got me on the non-HD quality of the vid.

Well, I tried. It's like the old saying: "If you can't see it, you just can't see it." :)

I don't want to see him making a whole bunch of mistakes like that, that's for sure, but he played a much cleaner game, as did the whole team, and for that I'm not going to complain this week.

Flozell Adams' penalties will not bother me while he is protecting Romo's blindside like he is.

When he starts protecting Romo in a more "Rob Petitti" style, then it will be time to show him the door.

Let me tell you something. You are not going to find a better left tackle than Adams. Would you rather have Doug Free out there?

Be careful what you wish for.

I agree. We had 4 penalties. Flo did not jump offsides once in the game nor did he hold. Romo was sacked 1 time in the game.

And the time Romo was sacked was a great defensive call and a great play execution by Ronde Barber.

You just have to tip your hat to Tampa on that.

True. Romo did not see the CB blitz coming and got sacked. Like you said you tip your hat to the other team for making a play. Flo is taking some abuse in this thread and while there have been times I have questioned him I felt overall yesterday he did a good job. He was not jumping off sides or getting called for holding
