Got an e-mail from KC Joyner today about his 2007 edition of "The Football Scientist" and in it he had a little extra to pass along to the forum here.
Here's his website for those who are interested.

KC Joyner said:Hello again! I just wanted to take a moment to give you an update on Scientific Football 2007 and tell you about another book I will be writing.
Scientific Football 2007 will feature a return to the essay/stat driven style of Scientific Football 2005. There will be reviews of the passing games of every NFL team and over 300 players, with a focus on making the reviews as granular as possible by delving into parts of the metrics that I haven't been able to review in previous versions of the Scientific Football series. The book will also contain some new features such as my rankings of the best and worst players at each position.
Scientific Football 2007 will also break new ground by taking a look at performance metrics of some historical players. In addition, Scientific Football 2007 will contain a section with a detailed playcalling breakdown of some of the biggest games from the 2006 season.
I am finishing up the research portion of Scientific Football 2007 over the next couple of weeks. After that is done, I will be taking 6-8 weeks to finish writing a significant portion of a book that is tentatively titled Contrarian Football. It is being published by Wiley and Sons, which means that it will be available in bookstores nationwide. The best way to describe Contrarian Football is to say that it is a Mythbusters-like review of some of the conventional wisdom of the NFL. Contrarian Football will be released in the fall of 2008. After I finish writing the first portion of Contrarian Football, I will then finish up writing Scientific Football 2007, which means that SF 2007 will ready to ship in July 2007.
If you want to save a few dollars on Scientific Football 2007, I do have an early bird special price of only $19.95 plus S & H available on the site (the regular price will once again be $29.95). I also have an early bird special price of only $14.95 for the fantasy draft guide as well. I am not certain what my weekly fantasy offering will be this year so I don't have a special listed for that yet, but I expect to have one listed some time well before training camps open.
Thanks very much for the time!

Just an FYI, one of the players I will be covering in my article for ESPN.com tomorrow is Leonard Davis. I'll be taking a look at his pass blocking skills and if they suggest he is a better fit at RG or RT.
