yeah je won the belitnikoff award as a sophmore. It was clear Parcells didnt want him with bringing in Keyshawn and basically not letting them compete but saying Keysgawn was the starter after AB was starting to establish himself.

Yeah alot happened back then and Parcells got fired also. We will probably never know what really happened, but him showing love to the Cowboys says alot.

Ain't like Parcells is doing that anytime soon.

Parcells retired from coaching after 2006.

The title of this thread nails it for me. I had seriously forgotten about Antonio. Props to him for making that donation. wish it would have worked out for him here. Parcells and him just had too big of egos to mesh. He did put together a decent career elsewhere.

He did somethings but ultimately could not get out of his own way. His knee let him down. Man if his knee got right Cincy would have had a killer WR trio of AB/TO/Ocho

Wasn't he like a high-IQ guy that graduated with honors from college (Pitt IIRC)?
And no, I am not being a smart aleck. Seemed like I remembered hearing that back in the day.
He just kinda came unglued at times in the heat of battle, lol.

Is anyone else a tad surprised he's in the position to donate $15K? Not that he didn't make plenty of money, but I'm glad he's been smart enough with it to be able to do this.
I'm happy for him. I also am glad that he was smart with his money or was able to start a successful 2nd career. Either way it looks like he's doing good. I hate hearing stories about these guys that come out of the league and then they're broke and struggling. Kind of bums me out. I think it's cool he donated the money and is in a financial place to be able to donate the money. It's win win.

and I totally forgot about the time he threw the towel or jersey at Parcells. Aw, the memories of the Campo to Parcells transition. Sometimes I have nightmares that Campo is still the coach and chad Hutchison is singing in a bar somewhere and I'm thinking that's the future right there.

Makes you just want to love Dak even more

Yeah I think you're right. I remember him being emotional but he had high scores on those tests they do for all draftees. Wonderlic or whatever they are. I think he did graduate. Emotionally he had issues but he was pretty smart if I remember right. It seems like his life after football is doing well so that's encouraging

Retired.....or got retired. I retired from Walmart, got fired cause I didn't get to buy the groceries.

He did come here for the money though, glad he came cause Jerry learned alot from him. Maybe it prepared him to listen to his son.
