Lol if you saw nothing to convince you Dak is the right qb right now as he went 22-26 against the hottest defense in the league then you must not have been watching. Man I love Romo and still believe there may be some magic left but some of the pro Romo crowd here has built him into Joe Montana/Dan Marino 2.0. Can anyone honestly think hes have come out and played better than Dak tonight?

Yes, I do. That was an incredibly ineffective passing performance. Got big breaks to build a a big lead in the first half, and let them right back in the game after completely bogging down in the second half. Again, we had a huge plus FOUR turnover differential, Zeke had an incredibly productive night, and we still barely won the game. I'm sorry you don't have the sophistication to see just how impotent that passing performance was. That just isn't going to get it done in the playoffs.

I'm pretty sure it's all an act with Risen.

I think.

Maybe?

Not an act. I'd trade Prescott for Wentz tomorrow and I pinky swear don't think he'll ever be more than a game manager.

Buddy, the 4 turn overs doesnt help your argument. 2 were at the end of the half and the game I believe. We got basically 2-1 and we scored 10 off ours they went 3 and out.

As usual, the Dak Pack has it all wrong. I certainly don't want Dak to fail, I want what's best for the team. I think Dak is going to be a great QB for many years but he is very inexperienced, there is just no denying that. I personally think Romo would be a much more effective QB in this offense. It's that simple. Sorry if that gets your panties in a bunch. Oh, and I saw nothing tonight to dissuade me from my belief, either. High completion percentage, zero passing touchdowns. A bunch of checkdowns that stalled in the red zone time after time in the second half. He does give the team another significant running threat, which is definitely a huge plus, but he missed opportunities down the field all night. I'm sorry you don't see that, but whatever. We should have beaten that team by three touchdowns tonight. Huge turnover differential, Zeke with 150+ yards. Oh well, don't say I didn't warn you. This offense should be so much more.
The missed opportunities was all about penalties and missed FG's tonight.

It had nothing to do with Prescott.

Yes it was ugly. We played ugly and had ugly play from our QB. But there were not many people who out right hates Dak. That's a bunch of nonsense. If that's what was taken away from this week then that's because people refused to listen to what was actually being said. But that honestly doesn't surprise me. There was and still is so much agenda driven dribble.

Some reason it didn't add the quote:

The sky was falling last week. It got ugly for a little while lol. Ill have to update my ignore list to match yours.

Wentz will be a good Quarter back in the league I think
I take Dakota's competitiveness and all around natural leadership ability.
His physical skills will get even better

Again, without the penalties, this game is a blowout. Prescott threw a TD pass and was called back because of the Smith hold.

Youre setting a pretty low ceiling for a rookie whos done nothing but surpass expectations. You have to crawl before you can walk. He already has the poise, makes good decisions and works his tail off. Hes a big, strong qb with wheels too. Ive seen him throw it in a collapsing pocket and throw a dime on the run also. Why would a guy like this be type casted into game manager in his rookie season??

Missed field goals? You mean the attempts from 56 and 52 yards? Yeah, just missed a couple of chip shots there, huh?

Hate is the wrong word. There were plenty of people who decided he wasnt good enough. They jumped the gun. It was an over reaction to back to back underwhelming performances. I was concerned myself. But the degree of certainty to which Dak was deemed a late season burn out from some was a bit ridiculous.

I think this whole thing is more about Romo than Dak. People have been "hating" on Romo ever since the Seattle botch. When you critique Dak , you are called out by these same people who have been trashing Romo for years..The thing is, most of us know Dak has flaws. Romo also has flaws. A single man does not win an NFL game. It takes all 53 men to win. I say this because people are quick to say thay Dak is 12 and 2. No, the cowboys are . If we didn't have Romo, i would have no problem with Dak driving the bus as far as it will go. But we do have a better choice sitting on the bench. Will Dak be better than Romo in the future? Maybe.. Or maybe he will be another RG3 or nick foles. Why are people so quick to want to get rid of Romo? Isn't competition a good thing? For years people complained that Romo was handed the job.. What are Dak supporters so worried about? Let the best QB win the job. Stop "cuddling" Dak. If Dak is better than Romo , why not have the luxury of having two good QBs?

Sadly, it doesn't really matter. This game will be enough for the staff to sit back and say "I told you so," which seems to be more important than actually making the right decision. We will continue on with Dak, ignorantly believing he has answered all the questions. And we will lose. He does not push the ball down the field. He does not threaten defenses over the top. We do have an incredible running game, of which he is a part, but unfortunately, that's not going to be enough. We need someone to threaten the defense vertically, we need someone who can penetrate with passing in the red zone, and he just isn't nearly as good at that as Romo.

No there is actual concern there. If people choose not to acknowledge it, that's their prerogative. But he's a rookie and is going to make rookie mistakes. I will, however, gladly take the Dak we got tonight with no complaints. He played like the Dak that wow'd earlier in the season. I'm good with it.

Nobody was saying he wasn't good enough (maybe Risen). There were a lot of people saying he wasn't ready. And that concern is not going to be alleviated until he does it in the postseason.
