Game Manager - Optimizes opportunities that are afforded by defensive mistakes and/or holes.
No tds throwing, but his best game of the year. No more Romo talk. GREAT TEAM WIN, and our d was AWESOME!
Nobody wants to see Dak fail. That's nonsense.
They just want the best QB to play, and for the team to have the best chance at winning period.
I want Romo to play, but at this point, the team isn't going to make a change. Maybe if he pulls a Brees and has 0 TDs and 6 Ints in two losses to finish the season, but even if that happened, I don't think they would, and it would be a severe blow to the playoff positioning. So, barring an injury, we're just going to have to hope the OL continues to give Dak all day to throw and Zeke keeps running the hell out of the ball, so his weaknesses and rookie issues are masked and don't have much of an impact, like tonight.
Well it is clear you want Tony to be QB, and the only way Tony can be QB this year is for Dak to fail ,lose games, play badly or be hurt.As usual, the Dak Pack has it all wrong. I certainly don't want Dak to fail, I want what's best for the team. I think Dak is going to be a great QB for many years but he is very inexperienced, there is just no denying that. I personally think Romo would be a much more effective QB in this offense. It's that simple. Sorry if that gets your panties in a bunch. Oh, and I saw nothing tonight to dissuade me from my belief, either. High completion percentage, zero passing touchdowns. A bunch of checkdowns that stalled in the red zone time after time in the second half. He does give the team another significant running threat, which is definitely a huge plus, but he missed opportunities down the field all night. I'm sorry you don't see that, but whatever. We should have beaten that team by three touchdowns tonight. Huge turnover differential, Zeke with 150+ yards. Oh well, don't say I didn't warn you. This offense should be so much more.
Statistically it was not...99.07 passer rating. Huge bounce back though...build on it next week and then take a rest...for tougher battles to come.
I think it's an insult to call Dak a game manager. He's a playmaker at the QB position. He made the plays tonight when he needed to. I'm a Romo guy but Dak is not a game manager, he's a legitimate threat to make a play with his arm or his running at every snap.
I'm not saying the OP tried to insult him by naming this thread "the game manager" but in my eyes the man is a playmaker and I really love how he rebounded from a sub par performance last week and play as well as he played tonight. I'm pumped with his moxie and his mental toughness.
after 14 games. he's really not a rookie anymore.............and every player has issues, including the player wearing number 9, who now sits on the bench.Nobody wants to see Dak fail. That's nonsense.

How about no interceptions tonight???As usual, the Dak Pack has it all wrong. I certainly don't want Dak to fail, I want what's best for the team. The defense helped to "let them right back into the game" imo. or is that all Dak's fault too?Yes, I do. That was an incredibly ineffective passing performance. Got big breaks to build a a big lead in the first half, and let them right back in the game after completely bogging down in the second half. Again, we had a huge plus FOUR turnover differential, Zeke had an incredibly productive night, and we still barely won the game. I'm sorry you don't have the sophistication to see just how impotent that passing performance was. That just isn't going to get it done in the playoffs.
That's nice but if that was the NFL's best defense then there must be a dearth of good defenses this season. There isn't though because that Bucs defense wasn't a patch on the Giants or Vikings. Or Ravens for that matter. I don't care what the stats say. I don't think the opposition they played were that great for putting those stats up anyway.99 qbr. Passing % was I think 88%. And as I said before, he played against the best defense in the league last 5 games. And still went 32-36, didn't miss a throw in the 2nd half.

Well, it's alright to talk about Romo but he was not needed last night. What we need is for the penalties to stop as they loss opportunities to score, as we have seen the last few games. Also need Bailey to work on those 55 yard field goals. It is nice to have Romo as a back up in case Dak has problems or is hurt. Now just get to 13 wins and I think we have home field advantage and the Division. No tds throwing, but his best game of the year. No more Romo talk. GREAT TEAM WIN, and our d was AWESOME!

Surprisingly a few are here explaining how Dak didn't really do anything special...

PS
Someone has breathe life into the defense that may get us past one and done.

Question......did Gannon ever make it to a superbowlRich Gannon holds the better completion percentage in a game.
Who, you ask?
Eh, rich was a game manager.
They're a good defense but they are not properly equipped (DL-wise) to deal with the Cowboys offensive line like the Eagles, Giants and Vikings and as a consequence they are not going to look very good against them. I thought they would cover better than they did, but it's hard to play great pass defense when the line gets no push. That's nice but if that was the NFL's best defense then there must be a dearth of good defenses this season.
