Anyone realize we got 7 more first downs than philly.
we were 7-18 on third down.
philly was 2-12.
our defense gave up 3 huge plays. led to three touchdowns. 3 huge plays given up by our safeties.

A lot of stats show how much we were in this game. Not to mention we led for most of the game.

We kept the crowd quiet too. I think the fact that we had such a chance to win is killing everyone today.

They just need to go out and win the next 3 or 4 games in a row. they just do. their is no question about it. I think they will. I think the cowboys run off 5 in a row.

You look at those stats and ignore the 5 turnovers (plus 2 more fumbles, that could have been lost), the Cowboys 4 YPP, the Eagles getting around 7 YPP.

Eagles were getting more 2nd and short plays, so 3rd down efficiency isnt a very accurate stat as far as productivity. And although their D wasnt getting many 3 and outs, they certainly were able to get some things done.

Regardless, when your team is averaging 4 yds per pass and the opponent is averaging 9, its a problem. As far as the run, the Eagles are not a running team, and havent been for several years. They had about 3 YPC and the Boys averaged around 4. It wasnt like the Cowboys dominated besides more attempts. When McNabb is making plays, even when under pressure it changes some things.

Add in Westbrook catching 5 for over 50.

The eagles only had 16 first downs. they couldnt drive the ball on us. plain and simple. they would get 1 or 2 first downs then punt. They had 12 third downs and only got 2.

Yes I agree pat watkins gave up three huge plays that led to three touchdowns. 21 points on one player. thats why he was sent to the bench. NO DOUBT!

bledsoe gave up the other 17. 21+17=38. they couldnt drive on us. all of their points came off of watkins and deadslow.

think about it.

we drove 75 yards on philly. we got 23 first downs. we ran for over a 100 yardso nthem. unfortunately drew didnt ever pull the trigger. and now we can see why. when he does he throws it to lito sheppard.

I agree it is frustrating to see a game like that fall out of our grasp. but honestly do you think we are suddenly a 4-12 team or something?

If you look at the stats we were in the game. our defense failed us and so did our offense. road games are tough. everyone knows this.

thats why we need to win these next two homes games and get us on a roll. I really think dallas can win 5 in a row. it wouldnt suprise me. This team has a lot going for it. If you dindt see it yesterday against a really good philly team then you only want to see what you want to see.

Yes you cant turn the ball over 5 times and expect to win. but you also shouldnt expect to turn it over 5 times and have a chance to win a game at all. and we did have a chance.
