Will be one of the most exciting games of the year... the last time this team faced a Drew Brees team it ended with a 1st and goal situation where the Boys prevailed in the last seconds!
Drew could not pull out the win last year and I'm sure he will be at his best to exact some revenge... Drew has more explosive weapons for todays game and he will use all of them unlike his last game v. the Boys. With Team leader Horn out I look for Brees to be even more focused on the game at hand and demanding more from his mates, some QBs can do that and he is one of them.
This game will come down to the QB play of both teams... Romo is on a roll and Brees is having a career year! Romo has to watch the Farve throws and Brees needs to get the Ball to his players on the run... Players in space give the Boys headaches! If Brees accurate the Boys must tackle well...
forget the run game... it needs to be effective at times but it will not break either team if they cant run the ball at will! The run game will be needed more by the Boys who's Coach does not like to get involved in Shoot Outs! While the Saints have true Playmakers in the run game they may be more of a threat in the passing game v. the Boys D!
Forget the D's, sometimes even a good D like the Boys can get caught in a track meet... the Saints D, sprinkled with ex Boys, surely will put up the fine fight but they will be the key to the Flood Gates of Scoring opening up to the Heavens! Payon will try to exploit the Boys' size and aggressiveness while Zim will keep every thing in front of him with his traditional style! Negative plays and turnovers will be more important than yardage!!!
Teams... Punt Coverage will be huge in this matchup with Both coaches risking injury to Newman and Bush for flashing greatness and momentum. and if this game comes down to the Kickers it will be a shame!
Individuals... the 6-7 Canty has to involve himself more in the Pass rush v. a QB who is only 6ft tall...
Sean Payton we will see just how good he is and if the duties of a Head Coach will effect his play calling late in the year!
MB3 the redzone GO TO guy will have to continue to be automatic on Goalline and in short yardage to keep the drives moving and Paytons O off the field!!!
this will be an AWESOME GAME!!!
