If there is anyone that hates kickers more then Hostile, it's Parcells..

Parcells knows that his Cowboys are going to be playing the Colts in the SuperBowl, and he does not want any advantage given to the Colts...and that is where Vanderflunk comes in...

During the Cowboys/Colts game, it was evident that the Colts players had revenge against Vandydrunk, and they told him, "If we block a kick of yours...we are going to come looking for you"! And, if the Colts take out the kicker? It's over...the Colts win...however...

Well, Parcells just eliminated that motivation from the Colts! It's a master plan of genious!

So, now we get a kicker that the Colts don't ever care about...so they won't be as fired up to play the Cowboys during the SuperBowl...

It's a Master plan...

I have a real problem with guys leaving blood, sweat, and tears on the field to move the ball into position for someone with a pristine clean uniform to "win the game." They don't win the game. The big uglies and the weapons move it down there to give them a chance. They are forgotten way too often.

It's even worse when you work your butt off and one of those sawed off midgets misses a chip shot.

One time, at a High School football camp while we were running gassers they had kickers who were kicking FGs with water bottles in their hands. I saw one guy who was smoking while he did it.

Just pissed me off. I don't know of any former players who truly like them. They are a necessary evil. I admit that, but I hate them.

what I dont understand is why is the kicker position so freaking specialized now. Why can't a QB or DB or someone just start kicking a ball and practicing and get good at it?

I mean I know its not easy to kick field goals but I think the athletes in the NFL could pick it up and master it. Think of your value to a team if your the 3rd WR and FG/kickoff guy.
