First of all we lost are opening day game to these goons, the one where Eli signed the wall.
Then we lost at there place with there backs against the wall, and they had the punt return and we still couldn't stop Steve Smith.
The last time they beat us was the last game of the year when they went out and layed a piece of crap in Minnesota.

How did we lose? First of all we win one of those games and we would have been the 2nd seed, or if Minny had lost to them, thanks to GB beating Zona.

That would have had us playing the Minny/Philly winner in the Divisional Round. Yes we would have most likely played Minny again, but not necessarily. Philly would have been a tough match up problem for Minny.

Do you guys think it would have made a difference playing Minny at home with a bye? I think so.

So when you heard Romo's presser after the game you can see how funny the NFL works. You win one more game and your the #2 seed. Crazy!

BTW the team to beat in NFC East is still the Giants. They have our number for some odd reason. Can't wait until next year.

I agree with the thought behind the thread... That's why everyone says it's important to win your home games!

Dallas is still the team to beat in the NFC East....

The Cowboys won the division 2 of 3 years, so they are the team to beat in the NFC East.

I agree though, that a win here or there that would have gotten us home field vs the Vikes could have made a huge difference. I liked what Romo said after the game regarding that. He said somethink along the lines that it shows how important all of the games are and they knew they left a gmae or two on the field last year.

As for the Giants laying an egg vs Minny--well, they would not have beaten them at their place anyway.

2010 here we come!

I guess he's trying to said if Dallas had won at least one of those games against the Giants, they would have hosted the Vikings at Cowboys Stadium.

If they played them like they played us they would have. The Giants reminded me of the way we were last year, really good when they wanted to be, and really bad when they wanted to be!

That is what happens when you rely on someone else to do the job for.
Cowboys win 1 of 2 vs Giants we get the #2 or beat the Packers and it would have been ours.

had we won 1 more game we could've had the #2 seed without the Giants help.

we also could've won the Packers game,Chargers game, or Broncos game and it wouldn't have mattered.

the Giants didn't beat us 3 times.

If you think the venue was the problem you're sadly mistaken.

The Eagles own the Giants, The Giants own the Cowboys, The Cowboys own the Eagles and they all own the Commanders.

It would have helped. Plus the week off. But who knows? It's offseason and it sucks!

This. WE are the NFC East Champs and we beat the 2nd place team 3 times.
Some .500 team that missed the playoffs is the team to beat?! Don't get me wrong, I know they are a good team that will be tough again next year, but it's ridiculous to say that the Giants are "the team to beat".

Of course it would. Hell I'd like to see how that game played out in Min if Adams doen't go down.

What you saying makes all the sense in the world and it's why we need to strive for the #1 seed and the BYE week.

But something tells me our 2009 team needed to play in the wildcard round.

Two weeks to stew over getting that ellusive playoff win may have been too much and the team could have gone the way of the 2007 team.

Just think how bad things would be today if it had gone that way. I'm not happy we aren't playing in SB 44. But I sure am happy we got the playoff gorilla off our back.

I agree. I would always prefer to play at home and given a week off. I don't know if the outcome would have changed but I would have liked our chances a bit more.

We would have most likely played the Vikes anyway so what does it matter?

Even stranger...consider this:

If Brett Favre doesn't throw a last second miracle pass to beat the Niners, they would have played at Cowboys stadium for the divisional playoff.

So your hate should be directed at the Niners. Not the Giants.

The Giants beat us twice. We didn't play very well against them and they clearly mustered their season long best against us. They, like the Eagles, ramp up for us like no one else. We definitely need to study int he off-season why other teams succeeded so easily where we failed against them.

All that said the Vikes simply had a better year than us. Nothing wrong with a 3 seed but this year seeds held as strong as they have anytime in recent memory.

I do get that the Vikes at home had a huge boost in their pass rush and that was where they whipped us.

Not sure we beat them here, but it would have been a different game. As it would have been had Flo stayed healthy through the game. But, every team but one has regrets and we just need to build from here.
