The grades are in

Thinking back on it the last guy we had that could excel vs blockers was a motivated McClain.
Hitchens wasn't bad either.

LVE for his size though really needs to be better at taking on blocks. One thing if he is 235lb, but at 265lb he needs to not be pushed back like a blocking dummy.
Hoping it's just an injury thing. For this teams sake anyways.

Can't really disagree with the grades although I think Dak's should be a little higher. Dak wasn't good in the 1st quarter but many of his passes later in the game were excellent, particularly the sideline stuff to Cooper. I'm really disappointed in Chido, LVE, & Jaylon, and the oline was doing Zeke no favors. And Zeke wasn't very sharp either.

Where is Quinn? I thought he played well when out there.
 
Can anyone tell me besides Lewis and Quinn, who on defense is having a good year. Like Pro Bowl contention good?

Zeke lovers aren’t going to like this. He left a lot of meat on the bone. Dude has been average at best.

There is no one right now top 5 at any position on pff on the defensive side of the ball. Closest is Jourdan lewis being ranked 8th
 
We should have given up a first-round pick for Minka Fitzpatrick. :mad:
And that's one of many reasons why the Steelers, with a backup quarterback, have risen from the dead, and we're going the other way.

I blame Marinelli and Richard for LVE issues, as he was a rookie last year, came on in the middle of the year and OCs didn't have tape on him and know exactly who to scheme him. this year though, given game tapes from last year, they know what our defense is trying to do with him and they are scheming against him...our coaches just didn't adjust their scheme and going off of last year....

Yeah he is no Urlacher. I wish he was. He seems too out of it too me. He lacks aggression and emotion. In fact this whole team lacks that. That was one of the things i LOVED about Dez. His emotion was good. This team stifles emotion and wants to be more calm all the time. We need more emotion. Guys need to get mad when they get shoved around. This defense gets manhandled way too much for my liking.

Yep. Once he got his, he put it into neutral. Someone needs to slap him and wake his butt up. This isn't welfare son, go to work.
