If I'm not mistaken, that's from the musical "The Music Man" and was performed by Buddy Hackett in the movie version w/ Robert Preston, Shirley Jones and Ron Howard.

Someone needs to write a book citing all the pop culture references from Family Guy.

It would be cool if there was a DVD that had the Family Guy or Simpsons rendition of a pop culture reference, followed by the original source of the reference.

I watched the episode so I have seen it.

I have all of the Simpsons and Family Guy on DVD so far, but I haven't listened to commentary to see if they spoke about any of the references.

Many are obvious...Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. This one, I wouldn't have had a clue.

The other one that I had couldn't figure out was actually in American Dad. The golden turd episode.
