Some of you are clammoring to get rid of Garrett. I actually understand your frustration regarding the same, but you really have to delve into Garrett's job description to see if that's warranted.

Jerry has sort of stripped Garrett's job description to the things Garrett does well, which include team building, player acquisition, player development, organization, structure, setting boundaries for players, keeping positive team chemistry, getting the players to play hard, getting players to buy in, getting players to generally put team before self, etc.

The coordinators have all the say (according to Jerry) about their aspects of the team and Garrett has a hands off approach on their job duties (again based on what Jerry has said).

That doesn't appear to be changing anytime in the near future so whoever comes in will be faced with the same situation. You may think it's not the right way to do business, but the only person who has the final say on that is Jerry and he doesn't care about peer pressure.

So whoever comes in whether a new head coach, or assistants will pretty much be faced with this business hierarchy.

Having said all of the foregoing, Garrett does a pretty good job with the elements of his job description, so why would Jerry ever fire him? Moreover he's like an adopted son. So he has that going for him too.

Who ever gets his job would have to suck if he's gonna live up to Garrett......

Maybe that lack of control over the coaching staff was because Garrett didn't merit it, and Jerry would give a higher caliber HC more control.

You guys are just haters

Garrett is here because he can multi-task

How many HC do you know that can clap, spit, clap rhythmically while still being able to shove and but slap players who have missed assignments or committed costly bone headed penalties?

That's multi-tasking

So, please stop the hate
