Maybe it isn't a December jinx.
Maybe the jinx involves the Christmas Avatars that so many here use in December.

Superstition is a part of the fan experience for some of us.
For me it started early on. Some here may remember the Johnny Unitas voodoo dolls that were distributed in Dallas just before the Cowboys played the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V. As it turned out, the dolls worked; Unitas was knocked out of the game. Unfortunately, the blue jersey jinx was stronger, and our team lost anyway.. I took note.
Since those days, I have had a few lucky shirts, lucky soft drinks, and lucky chairs. In the early to mid 1990's, I had some wickedly effective combinations. More recently, though, not much has worked - with the possible exception of decaffeinated Lipton Tea, which has been sporadically successful.
I'll be drinking tea while watching tonight's game. And I've exchanged my Christmas avatar.
