I love it when folks think of Hardy as a mere mortal man. He will on be full blast on every play he is allowed in on. All though, I do agree with the great Nate Newton that Mr. Hardy may only see 15 snaps this first game back.

Ro McClain will be eased unto the mix too. But these two will make a great difference to the defense.

If you haven't yet, go watch his interview today. Awesome stuff.

Found it on DC.com; it was the best 10 minutes of my day. The guy handled the Dallas media like a pro. It's gonna be hard not to like this guy if he can pick up where he left off as a passrusher/runstopper.

Not too many quarterbacks do...

true that.

however our whole offense is predicated on Romo's play making ability. Romo masks a lot of mistakes.

while our play calling is vanilla Romo adds the irregularity thats needed to throw defenses off.

weeden (or any other majority of the QBs who are bus drivers but aren't playmakers) makes our vanilla even more vanilla.

we are way too one dimensional. this offense is built around Romo and its becoming very evident recently. most of us knew this but the recent situation is compounding the point.

The question really is, is that Weeden making the offense safe (as I call it) or the coaches responsible for the playcalling? Because it seemed like the Cowboys let loose late in the game Sunday against the Saints and came within reach of winning..but it was too late...the defense had turned into a sieve by that point.

i think its compounded with "the limits" of Weeden. True it's not all Weeden's fault, we can tell he is actually doing his job well (playing within the parameters given to him by coaching). And its further compounded by the rest of our 2nd string players/our limited squad/depth issues on both sides of the ball.

This Offense/this team in general was heavily built around Romo. When that falls its like the foundation falls too. Right now it seems we are trying to repair that foundation as much as we can with arms tied behind our back.

The fact that we are still in the mix or in the games we have been in with Weeden speaks to ability of this franchise doing the best with what we have. But it also speaks to the idea that perhaps this franchise is doing a poor job in trying to find Romo's replacement. This season's situation should have already put the fire underneath them to turn the heat up on that if it hasn't happened already.

Rust? If he was a guy that touched the ball, ran routes or had to read defenses...agreed. However, he has one job and one he is very good at...kill Brady. Don't feed your dog for 3 days and see if he is rusty with his eating habits. Just don't want him to eat too fast and will need to take a nap before his next meal. :muttley:

I don't agree 100%, but boy if I didn't chuckle. This is a starving dog who essentially is on a job interview. He doesn't perform, he's out after this season and he knows it.
