agreed, we need a high powered offense right now. Lamb , Pickens ,Flournoy and maybe even J WIlliams give us that possibility. then put everything else into a tackle and defense.

Why can't we just trade him for Crosby, yes we will need a receiver, I don't have much faith drafting a DE generally speaking your waiting until year 2 to see dividends. Raiders should really want a wr if they get qb at one.

A) see how he reacts to it. Is he mature enough that you want to make a bigger investment in '27?

And I'm not saying I definitely would tag him if it were my choice but I'd consider it. However, if I were in that spot, I'd like to think I'd know the player well enough to know whether or not I want him on my team long-term.

Yes. Agreed. But that means extending Pickens. Not tagging him. People seem to think that giving a player a long term deal is some kind of risk. It is not. No risk at all. It just cost the owner more money in real dollars. But it is always better for the team whether or not the player pans out. Tagging Pickens means they are not serious about the next two years. Just worried about losing money.

I dont see a scenario where he isnt tagged. Only question is if the Cowboys can reach a long term agreement with him after the tag or not. I'd offer him a Tee Higgins type of deal (adjusted for yearly inflation) and not think twice about it.

Agreed. I believe we need to do it in whatever way gives us the best chance of fielding a formidable team for the next few years , until Dak ages out and we need his replacement.

If I were Jerry I would mortgage the farm to go all in on the next 2-3 years. Restructure everyone. Add void years to everyone. Go wild in free agency. If we don't win in the next 2-3 years we are rebuilding anyway with a new QB, so why not maximize it?

The tag would require the Cowboys to devote over 9% of the 2026 salary cap to George Pickens.

WI'll probably have close to 50% of the cap tied up in Dak, cedee, and pickens next year.

And our offense will still wet the bed against any legitimate defense on the road
