Should the NFL be fixed for ratings? It's not the leagues fault the Cowboys couldn't muster up the will to win.

I hope it's these two teams. Sure better than the "PA Bowl". Or better than what some where predicting a few weeks ago, the "Manning Bowl".

Whatever though, don't want the Feagles or the Stillers, anywhere near that game!

It is a scary thought.. but it very well could be fixed for ratings. And none would be the wiser. And it would also seem their going for a league-wide "branding" over the one of past years where only a handful of teams ever used to compete year in and year out.

It's a far-fetched notion, but looking back at the way things were supposed to be, the wheels sure fell off our wagon simply enough it seems. And one could almost argue, by design. Then look at the Pats of a year ago and how they systematically ran over the entire league for 18 games straight, only to hit a proverbial brick wall at the end when a long standing record of an undefeated team was to be matched. Then you also have the 13-3 Packers of a year ago. And like clockwork almost, the 3 premier teams of last year properly dismantled by the underdog, sudden new darlings of the NFL, the Gints.

It very well all could be one big machine designed specifically for money and ratings.

That would be a nightmare, but I guarantee you I would watch that before an Arizona/Ravens Super Bowl. You could not cause me to care less who would win that game. At least the all-Pennsylvania Super Bowl would have me somewhat interested. It is hard to tell who I would root for. I do not ever want Philadelphia to win a title, but I would not want the Steelers to win a sixth.

Overall, I abhor parity and this year's nauseating developments have made it even worse. Most if not all of the teams in this year's respective championship games will not be there again next year. I am old school and respect consistent winners, not this flavor of the year that parity breeds.

Man, it would be hilarious to see them try to market a Cards vs. Ravens Super Bowl for two weeks.

You can thank the Chiefs for that on the AFC side. Knocking out Tom Brady week one likely kept the Pats from going to the big dance.

I am sure they could find plenty of warm fuzzy stories about Kurt Warner to fill up the time.

I think that would be a good game. God knows the Cards have paid their dues over the years and currently are playing very good ball. I wish them the best this coming weekend.

I think it would be an easy game to hype. A top ranked offense vs. a top ranked defense. It wouldn't be the Cowboys-Steelers, but I still think it could be very entertaining.

I think the league hopes for a Steelers-Eagles Super Bowl because of all the subplots ...

1. Steelers going for their sixth
2. One last hoorah for McNabb
3. Defense vs. Defense
4. The black coach and the black quarterback
5. Another sixth seed from Pennsylvania tries to reach Super Bowl glory.
6. Eagles try to abolish the "No Trophy" putdown. ;)

All good reasons to hope it does not happen.

Cards vs Ravens is my dream matchup. Just means that Steelers and Philly WON'T win. That could be a good game....one of the best defenses vs one of the best offenses. Would be better than sitting through the superbowl with that bad gut feeling that either Pitt will win their 6th or Philly will win their 1st....ick :bang2: :bang2:

Cards vs Ravens isnt so bad

Redemption QB vs Rookie QB
High profile offense vs studly defense
Cards 1st ever SB vs Ravens 2nd ever SB

They could call it the Bird Bowl

BTW, am I alone in saying that the Cards air attack should have been nicknamed the Aviary by now...

Sign me up for the AZ/BAL Super Bowl! I'd hate to see PIT be the first to get #6 or Philthydelphia to get their first..because we'd no longer be able to display this: :trophy: !!!!

Arizona would be America's underdog favorite if that happened, especially if they play Pittsburgh.

Regardless, an Arizona vs. Baltimore Super Bowl would be far more exciting than that Seattle vs. Pittsburgh garbage of a game three years ago.

Or the boring Chicago vs. Indianapolis affair a year later.

That sure would get terrible ratings.

Ratings would also probably fall off for the second half, since the game would be over by that time.
