I dont buy it.....they didnt say we sucked when we were rolling in 2007...they picked us for SB in 2008......then the circus came to town and we became a joke......there is always someone who is a hater...but the media as a whole thought we were back and ready to roll......the players brought this mess............now hopefully we can put the coo coo back in the clock and play some football and get that respect back

You give a little bit of nonsense for the media to chew on and they tend to bite off the tips of your fingers. HBO's Hard Knocks is a very good example of what not to do if you're wanting to divert overt media attention from a franchise.dadymat;2680987 said:

It's time to put the ideal of "Football First" back into the Dallas Cowboys credo. We're already seeing some signs of exactly that happening in Big D, but there is more work to be done. The media's never going to change, but the more effort applied to that principle will help put them back in their proper place. Here's hoping.

Jerry is the prime example of Having your cake and eating it too... that rubs moderately successful ppl the wrong way! If Jerry did things like every other owner, besides AL Davis, they would not bother him.

My cousin (a Giants fan) is the same way. Last year all he could talk about is how Dallas' "star power" was holding the team back and how they needed to follow the mold of the Giants, which is apparently a few leaders and a bunch of role players without any headaches (I'm assuming he doesn't think Plaxico is a headache?).
Now, after Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, and TO are all gone, he's completely switched sides. NOW he thinks that it doesn't matter about the team, it only matters how talented you are. Now, he says the Cowboys have no talent, and that they got rid of the one player that cared as some sort of scapegoat.
They love to hate. I love to see them squirm.

I love me some TO!!!.... now that hes Trent Edwards and the Bills headache.
But Im not joking here, how could you not love the guy, all he ever said was what everybody else was thinking.
He called out Garrett, how can we sit here as fans and be such hypocrites? Most of us, I know I did and still do, call out that brainiac for his brilliant game plans.
So TO does it and hes the villan. Its a shame that the media actually does control the thought process and action of the masses, thats a shame.
But I understand nonetheless, regardless, the picture had been painted, and TO tainted, and the entire "media circus" had to leave town.
You cant, or I should say this regime in Dallas, Jerry and his boys were incapable of keeping the show together with the medias influence.
Funny how a Randy Moss can go to New England and all is Hunky Dory there, not a peep.
Randy Moss was 10 times the headcase TO ever was, but all is quiet in NE.
Ever wonder why?
Could it be that their FO and staff actually control the media?
Maybe they actually decided along time ago in "closed door environment" that they choose to run a franchise and not ESPN.
Just a thought.
