Until the O tackle play improves on passing downs, or the coaches start doing a better job of designing plays, to make it easier for the tackles to do their job on passing downs, it will be impossible for this offense to reach it’s full potential.

It stinks that we have put so much capital into our Offensive line and our tackles are mediocre or worse at pass blocking.

Their MO has been to sign guys like Adeniji for depth. But they have Cornelius too. It would be good to give him some reps this year and see if he has anything to add to the depth chart. But he is on IR for some reason.

If they cut Steele they need to find a new starter and that will have to be a free agent or in the draft. I don't see another way. And Jerry is not going to pay a free agent OT unless it is some old guy looking to play one more year.
 
None of this matters until Jerry is gone. The team needs a good smart creative GM AND IT AINT JUNIOR

I think Jerry is not only shocked but embarrassed and I'll say it when he made that statement we'll see what happens these last three games on our coaching decisions he already made up his mind ,now he's telling Matt that was a signal to all the defensive staff you better do something the last three games, you guys are already gone..

I'm with you on the aspect jerry doesn't like change after one year, but he's done it ,he's also cut players like Jalen Smith in the middle of a brand new contract in the middle of a season, let alone the end of a season ,he is capable ,and has done it,

but I'm with you I know there's a small chance he finds a way to convince himself matt needs another year.


here's my hope, Brian Schottenheimer behind closed doors is very adamant about how he doesn't want Matt here next year and that Matt can't do what he needs to to have a successful team in 26..

I feel that Brian Sottenheimer truly doesn't want Matt here, like you all say like he was forced on Brian ,then why not go behind closed doors and really tell Jerry things aren't going to work out next year if you keep Matt around, I need something different, give him a list of names let Jerry feel like it's his choice, but it Brian Schottenheimer does his job, if he truly does, we do not know his true feelings,

You all guess a lot but that doesn't mean that's how he feels, but if he truly doesn't want him here, I think Jerry will listen to him because I don't think Jerry is that sold on Matt, that if his head coach says ,I don't want him here ,and he's very vocal about it ,I believe he'll move on..

What are some crazy hypothetical scenario Matt EberPOO isn't here just because of Jerry and maybe Brian likes him, we don't know what's going on in their heads...

During the Minnesota game there was a
big play the defense gave up. The camera showed Shotty, right after the play. It seemed like he was looking toward Eberflus. He had a pissed look on his face. Like here we go again.

I hope Shotty is adamant to Jerry about getting rid of Eberflus’s.

At times, Jerry has stubbornly kept players and coaches too long.

There are a lot of good young coaches that would jump at the chance to coach in Dallas. The problem is finding the best of the good ones.
Yes a few veteran coaches may shy away from Dallas, but I think most would take the job.
Also on Flores. He has sued the NFL. Jerry may be a little hesitant to go his direction. I hope Jerry gives him a shot to be our DC/assistant HC.

I agree and I think he's the type of guy that's going to do it say look if you want me to be successful you have to give me a different defensive coordinator let me get you a list we can compromise on it but I believe it can and will happen and I also know Jerry will listen he does listen to his coaches he listens to steven and will mcclay more now than he ever has..

Hopefully they see what we see and no matter what happens these next three games it shouldn't matter matt EberPOO needs to go and they need to find a guy who's a little bit more flexible without the ego And it needs to be stressed in an interview about being able to run multiples and do whatever needs to be done to create a successful defense with what you have on the roster...

Jerry seems pretty **** in some of these latest interviews the only thing I don't like is him acting like they get a three game reprieve like show me this is your interview to keep your job no I would think that that should have already been a done deal they should be figuring out who they want to interview.

I would be giving you guys a friendly reminder just because of whatever Jerry's saying outwardly in public does not mean that's how he feels Meaning he may have already made up his mind and Matt may be gone in his mind I mean he's just making them stay focused because he wants them to win the last three games and I don't blame him it has nothing to do with the draft or tanking Has more to how this can carry over into the next year I mean this happened at the end of 2020 Mike Mccarthy got burned in public because they didn't tank harder but the next three years were very successful maybe not what we really wanted but Dan Quinn came in and he and Mike Mccarthy worked well together and they went from the bottom to a 12 win team three years in a row two division titles I mean that's what I'm hoping for that the change inspires that same kind of run..

And it is pretty much quite obvious that Prescott's window is that small with lamb and the others I mean it's now....they cant go fafo... They must be aggressive and find the best defensive coordinator and defensive staff they possibly can they can turn it around ASAP like Dan Quinn did regardless of Dan Quinn's works he took Mike Nolan's trash and made it respectable...
 
Not only are Eberflus' defenses vanilla and unimaginative, but it felt like everybody in the defense regressed.

I'm willing to give Shotty another chance with the offense, but the defensive side of the ball needs a major reset on the coaching side.

route, 7 yards. Our defensive players under Eberflus do not do their own job. On the bootleg our stupid LBer Liafou did not contain. Williams did not contain on the QB rollout when their QB throw the TD.

***This game was a perfect game to compare a basic vanilla defense, that is stationary before the snap, and predictable after the snap, to a defense that has a bunch of pre snap movement, and is not predictable after the snap. Also all the players are on the same page doing THEIR job!!!!!!!

We must have a DC like Flores. Send Eberflus packing.

According to many around here, that cap in your avatar is what is wrong with this team. Fans like you, buying or showing pride in your team, keeps feeding Jerry's ego! Lol...it's not anything you posted, it's you supporting your team, that is an embarrassment.
BTW, I bought a great looking cap a couple of months ago....had a navy blue shirt with my brand in silver, so I can wear it....so I'm the problem too.

Jerry Jones is incapable of embarrassment. He is the biggest embarrassment we have and it doesn’t even resister with him. He’s isolated, delusional and doesn’t place winning above all else.

At 83, JJ is the oldest GM in NFL history. He was 53 the last time our Cowboys won a divisional playoff game. That’s embarrassing. But apparently not embarrassing to the 83 year old in charge.

I disagree with this In years past maybe II agree there was that where he did his things his way and he wasn't gonna regret any of it but the last three or 4 seasons I'm seeing something different and last year was a disappointment because they had a bad record but he also understood the injuries were ridiculous and they didn't have Prescott this year much more frustrating having one of the #1 offense in a league in a lot of categories or at least top three scoring all those points making all those pretty moves he made to make that offense that good to only have the defense absolutely obliterated I guarantee he's embarrassed and he's having regrets and he's pretty angry at Matt right now...


I understand why you said it but the fact that you can't see that things have changed a lot in the last 15 years more so in the last 10 years but for sure the last five years Jerry has been less a GM the last few years than he ever has he can keep talking all he wants in public he can have the title but we all know it's being handled by other people now maybe there's where the problems at...


Those people he rely on like Stephen and Will Mcclay maybe they're not the right people to rely on right now I like Will Mcclay but he is the scout he is the head of a lot of the players stuff that gets brought in trade prospects free agents he's a big part of that...


So Jerry may never give up the GM title but maybe he needs a new Will Mcclay He can call him an assistant GM whatever he wants to call him to bring him over here and try to get Steven less involved and himself less involved that would be great he doesn't even need to call him Agmi don't care who has the title I just want them to be a better sounding board for Jerry give Jerry better advice because right now maybe he will mcclay has been here too long He's been here for over 20 years and some capacity maybe even longer and maybe it's time for a new voice to help Jerry some new eyes a new vision...
 
I do fault Jerry for one thing. He should have fired BeeberPuff early on..

It was obviously not going to work back then. There was still time to right the ship.
