It's not the end of the world mathematically if we lose this game, but this is as big a game as we've had yet this season. Certainly the biggest since the PHI game last month.
And for no other reason than avoiding the cacophony alone, I dearly want to sweep the Giants. I can't imagine this place around here next week if we drop this one. Beating them makes the December push look a lot more interesting and will make CZ a lot more fun than another road loss, this time to a division opponent would.
I understand and agree with you to an extent, but lets not get these giants confused with the giants of the past. This is a very beatable team when playing at their full potential.Actually, a team playing with confidence IS better than that same team whose confidence has been shaken. You trust your teammates more to do their jobs and can therefore focus solely on your job. I've played on both types of teams and it's hard to put a finger on it, but a confident team plays with far more cohesiveness. And they're probably in a much better place mentally, knowing they're only one game out of the division lead. They are going to be hell bent on not wasting all the effort they've put in over the last four weeks to get back into this thing. There really is something to be said for that thing called "momentum."
My worry is the Gnats ru

Marshall Faulk said " when Eli gets hot like he is right now , the giants are scary " lololololol this guy never does his homework .
they had better be focused...losing this game would be REALLY bad....a game behind the eagles and tied with the formerly 0-6 giants?
I live in NY and I can tell you this - Giants fans have no respect for the Dallas coaches, but acknowledge we have the players. They are not at all fearful of losing this week - they are very confident in general. (from what I've seen)..

At the beginning of the season, I don't think too many people circled this as a win.
But because they didn't win at either SanDiego or at Detroit, the team is really getting backed into a corner. A win would be huge.
We have one road win all year and even that would have been a loss if Foles was not throwing worm burners to invisible gophers.
Dallas has not been favored on the road yet...unless it was at KC before anyone had clue.
I have watched the Giants closely this year and they have a horrific team. Only player who is playing good on their team is Cruz and even he is having an off year. We are head and shoulders better than them and there is no reason we shouldn't go in there and beat them. I feel confident about this game.
It certainly does have the feel of a playoff game, albeit a playoff game for the mediocre. But I'm going to enjoy it as such, given the implications (and the fact that it might be our only playoff type-game if we lose). I think if we DO win, you can stick a fork in the Giants because they'd be done. And that would make me happy. If we throw another pathetic performance out there like we did against the Saints, you can stick a fork in me, because I might be done for the season out of sheer disgust.
the better I feel about our chances. We are not as good as the team that beat the Rams, and not as bad of a team that got spanked by the Saints. As the week goes on, I get a feeling that we will come out and play inspired football. Awful quiet at the ranch, and I like that.
