We probably are underdogs at Chicago as well.....................maybe at Washington we are favored?

Hard to say now, still 5 weeks away. If the game(Wash) was this Sunday, we would probably be favored by 2, pick-em at worst. We will be dogs at Chicago no matter our records then.

If Cutler is back, we lose.

I see Washington as really our only chance to get another road victory this year.

I have watched the Giants closely this year and they have a horrific team. Only player who is playing good on their team is Cruz and even he is having an off year. We are head and shoulders better than them and there is no reason we shouldn't go in there and beat them. I feel confident about this game.

Did you not see the first game of the season? We needed 6 turnovers to close them out. Eli shredded us that game. I would not say we are head and shoulders above them when they started off 0-6 and are now within one game of us. No matter what teams are in front of them, it's not easy to win 4 straight in this league. And the fact they kept at it after losing their first 6.

We aren't head and shoulders above many teams in this league and surely no one in our division.

I did see the first game.. and the first game of a season can be tricky. At the point your team doesn't have multiple losses and I would guess they would play harder/different. I have seen some truly bad games the Giants have had and we only had 2 that I can think of. NO and SD. All the others we kept very close. We are getting back Wilcox, Claiborne, Hatcher, Austin, and our players are coming off a bye so several of them(Ware, church, etc) have had time to heal up. If we play a little man to man vs. zone, I don't see how the Giants can beat us. Keep in mind their RB is Peyton Hillis and Brandon Jacobs. Eli has been playing terrible football. 12 TD's in 10 games, 17 interceptions, and multiple pick sixes. He looks real bad out there.

We are a lot better than the Giants this year.

Andre Brown says hello. He is better than Hillis(who is injured) and has stabilized their run game.

I can't say we are a lot better. When we are only 1 game ahead of them. We were fully healthy then. Actually more healthy than we are now.

Their problem early in the year was turnovers. They turned it over quite a bit in every single game and Eli was terrible. Over the past month, Eli has only thrown 2 picks and they are being careful with the ball.

I think this game IS a must win for both teams - no doubt about it. If we win this, The gnats are done. If we lose this game, there is no comming back. This season is on the edge of the knife - right now. This game I feel is the tipping point either way. I do feel we have our best shot to win right now, off the bye - players back. More healthy than we have been in a while, If we can't beat the gnats, this season will be lost. Oh, they will talk it's only one game, we are still in it mathematically. But the reality is - now, this game is the one. For some reason I beleave we can and should win. But It will be hell on earth around here if we should fall, especially if we stink it up as we have in the past in win or go home games - and I know people will disagree, but I feel thats what this game is.

Does playing a close game matter???
The question was not for me, but yes, I think it matters to some small degree.
I know I felt much worse about the team following the New Orleans game than i did the Denver game.

The giants are playing at home. And they seem very hyped up about this game. OTOH, we seem a little disinterested/distracted. That's just the feeling I get.

I think we're gonna lose. 31-24. We make it look respectable at the end but we never really have a chance to win it.

I see 34-14 giants win.just do not see this defense stop anyone including manning. cruz will score his first touchdown of the season against the cowboys defense. as bad as the offense has been and the way the giants defense is playing in the last four games it will be a long day again for romo.

Now Terrell Thomas is guaranteeing a win.

Wow this team talks even more than we used to.

All of this smack talking is just a front to cover up their glaring weaknesses. They'll be in for a treat when they face a QB who will still be in the league next year on Sunday.

They're writing a lot of checks this week that they don't have sufficient funds for.

We win this game because our Oline will do a better job at protecting the QB. Some on here will say "Waters is out, no chance". News flash: he wasn't playing week one either.

Our defense will tighten up more from week one since we have plenty of film to look at from this season since wk 1 and it is easier to identify where they've consistently having problems at; the Oline.

We'll be more aggressive since we know where to attack now.

With all of this being said, we win 31-20.

I hope you are right my friend....................if we lose this game after all this trash talking.................we are done.

Yeah, if we come out and get stomped on we would really have a hard time recovering. I just don't see our boys coming out flat... The bye week served everyone well. I know our boys want this game just as bad. They gotta be thinking, a win virtually ends any playoff hope for NY and what more do they want than to take advantage if that opportunity.

These Giants are not the New Orleans Saints at Home, and our defense is much healthier. This game will probably another close Cowboys Giants barnburner.
