Well, I've had almost a full day to calm down about yesterday's game. Problem is: I still want Romo to start. Bledsoe looked God awful yesterday. His 3 INTs yesterday shows he played terrible. BUT, that doesn't include to dropped INT by Lito Sheppard or all of the underthrown incompletions to WIDE-OPEN recievers.
I'm tired of this. It's the same story every week. Is it just me or does Bledsoe remind anyone else of a younger Vinny Testeverde? When Bledsoe throws, I cringe. Same thing when Vinny used to play QB for us. Oh, I cringed when Quincy Carter threw too, but you know why I didn't care as much as I do now? A. That team was not on the cusp of doing something big, and B. Quincy was young and we were building for the future.
I'd have rather lost yesterday with Romo making those mistakes instead of Bledsoe because atleast Romo would have gotten some game experience and we would have been building for later in the year, next year, and beyond. Instead, we lost with a QB who makes the same stupid plays week in and week out who won't be around next year or the year after. I was calling for Romo to start against the Titans. Honestly, I think that would have been the smartest move. Give him 2 weeks to prepare for his 1st NFL start against a team that is winless. Then, yeah, he'd have to play Philly in the "TO Bowl," but it'd be a way to test him out early. Then against the Texans and then home against the Giants. I think it would have been good for Romo. Two pretty easy games to build up confidence, and two pretty difficult games to see what he's made out of.
Now, the Cowboys NEED to make the switch. This isn't the O-Line Troy had. Bledsoe needs to go. Romo needs to start. Case closed.
Oh, and did anyone else question why Dallas didn't run a draw from the goal line at the end of the game? 38 seconds left, clock stopped, and the Eagles expecting pass. DRAW PLAY! Jones and Barber are very good at running the draw. I don't know, but I saw TD written all over the scoreboard with that call.
