The most impressive player throughout the game was B.W. Webb

corners who can't or are afraid to tackle get smashed and ruin plays ALOT ie mike Jenkins I don't know how many times they ran to his side in the redzone cuz they knew he had no intention on making a 1on1 tackle
I still haven't forgiven Jenkins for the "tackle attempt" against the Giants when he was a rookie.

Webb makes Barbie Carpenter look like Dick Butkus when it comes to enjoying contact.

So does Mitchell.

I have not been impressed with him at all.

There was one play on a screen of sorts that the Ravens threw that he did about everything wrong a CB could do on that play.

Mitchell apparently looked good early in camp when there were no officials around because he could grab, tug and pull on receivers to keep them from abusing his lack of speed. It appears that with the officials calling contact tightly that he's just a penalty waiting to happen or a speed bump.

Marinelli would have to almost exclusively use cover 2 with Mitchell in the game for him to have a chance. Webb, on the other hand, has the speed and fluidity to match receivers without having to grab them. I'd rather have that in a DB than one who might be a more willing tackler, but can't cover.

Right now, I'd rate the DBs fighting for the last one or two spots Webb, Patmon, Mitchell and Green.

If BW can play at Mike Jenkins level I would be happy with that at this point.

There is a lot of revisionist history on this board about Mike Jenkins. He wasn't nearly as bad as you would think reading on here. He had some memorable bad moments no doubt. Every so often someone will post the TV screen shot of a terrible game he had. Funny? Absolutely. Indicative of his entire career here? No.
