So we're going to act like there haven't been any holes to run through, and the QB hasn't had any time to throw? The problem this year has been injuries, suspensions, and predictable play calling.
We're acting like safeties and linebackers were just as worried about the pass as they were the year before, even though whoever we had playing QB couldn't hit anybody past 10 yards anyway.

He is. I'm wondering if the team should get rid of Pollack and find themselves a better O-line coach in the offseason.

You guys do realize that Frank Pollack was Callahan's recommendation for asst. OL Coach when he was named OC. In 2013, right? Also, that during the past two seasons, while Callahan was involved it's the OC duties, that it was Pollack who ran all OL meetings and film study sessions, taught and refined OL technique, and handled almost every duty of an OL coach. Pollack didn't just forget how to coach when Callahan left.

If we're missing Callahan at all, it's in the area of our run scheme that he designed. The reason I say "if" is because I'm sure Callahan didn't have a copyright on those plays. I'm sure they're still right there in the playbook. Linehan didn't just forget how he called plays last year, either.

Look at it this way...after two games this season, Dallas was 3rd in the league in rushing. Production didn't really decline until then.

It's not Callahan, but Romo, whomraksvthe pressure off the OL. When he's off - or ineffective (see Thursday) - it's extremely tough for Dallas to run the ball.

They did it last year and that proves that the skill and talent is there ... what changed?

Yes.. OL coach proved he is not capable to taking over the task .. bring a proven OL coach and watch how good this line can get

I have the Sunday Ticket, so I have watched every game this season.
Almost like groundhog day, at some point the broadcast crew will say something to the effect :
The best line in the NFL and spew the accolades.

Truthfully who or what are they watching ?

I have seen this line get dominated week after week by the likes of the Bucs, Phins, Panthers ect...
They have had few good performances, with or without Romo, so don't use that as an excuse.

Don't know what their deal is, but this has been one of the most disappointing aspects of this season.

Maybe Callahan meant that much to them but the regression of this unit has been both shocking and sad to see.

Like most of the things about this team..

we have been oversold.

No thing new there

I think their over-hyped reputation hurts them... Defensive-Linemen don't gear up to play the Cowboys the same way they gear up to play other teams, they gear up with the mindset of taking down the "best OL in the NFL"... It's like last week against the Dolphins the broadcasters were talking about how they asked Suh something to the effect of, "What's it like going up against the best Guard in the NFL (Zack Martin)?.... and Suh's reply was something to the effect of "I don't know if I'd say he (Martin) is actually the best".... How many times have we heard that Tyron Smith is the "best OT in the NFL, and how many times do we have to see him get destroyed by a speed rush before that myth goes by the wayside? I feel like the over-hyping of the OL started around the time that Demarco's 100-yard game streak got started early in the 2014 season, but about halfway through the 2014 season, I started to notice a steady drop-off in consistency from the OL...

I think losing Callahan hurts a little, I mean he's a guy who was head-coach of a team that went to the Super Bowl, so he's a pretty nice addition to any coaching staff... However I think the real issue is that the OL has been overrated since the beginning of their hype... Their reputation should be of an OL that can be dominant at times in the running game, but can also struggle mightily in pass-protection...
