That was awesome. I absolutely love this OL. Great group of players. The worst of the group is still a good player and there are three that are blue chip players.

Personally, I think Travis Frederick is the glue that holds it all together and is the most important member of the line. What a terrific pick he was. Anyone making fun of the teams draft picks should think back to Frederick's selection and hold their tongue because you just never know.

I don't have to do that because I was supportive of the pick and the player.

Definitely remember you liking the player. Actually one of the few guys on here that had mentioned liking him a lot. I don't necessarily remember you saying it was a good pick by the team. Some were saying good player but could have been picked with our second round choice. Like I said though, I don't remember you saying one way or the other on that. If you say you liked the pick from the start, then I believe you.

In any event, he is a fantastic player entering his second year. I think by the end of this season he very well could be the best pivot man in the league.

Boy does Wisconsin churn out some great offensive linemen...

I said it was a slight reach on an underrated player. I didn't have a huge issue with it but I did wonder if they let a better player get away with Floyd.

However, when the news broke that we ignored our draft board I didn't like that. It worked this time, but if you make a habit of that, fire your scouts and throw darts at the wall.

To this day I still can't figure out the folks who had Frederick as a 4th-5th round pick. In our January user mock that year, I picked him for the Packers at the bottom of round one. A certain poster here, who has since fallen in love with Frederick, scoffed at what a horrific reach that was. I read similar comments elsewhere and saw some of the draft pundits talking him down as well. So I personally scouted the player again on Youtube. I double checked my spreadsheets. What am I missing? This guy is the total package you want at C. 4th-5th round? Brian Schwenke is the better option? What?

Wisconsin's an OL factory. Unless you count Bill Nagy.

I absolutely had no problems with the pick because of this. In fact, I thought he was more of a sure thing than the two linemen taken ahead of him, including one by the Giants. I'll never understand why people rush to judge draft picks based on how some supposed draft gurus rate them when we see them miss time after time just like we do NFL scouts.

If you are trying to watch it on a smart phone or tablet... Download the Cowboys app from the app store or Google play store. It will play the videos and has some other nice stuff on it.

I drafted Zach Martin this year in our user mock. But that pick was well supported. He was hailed as a sure thing, kind of how DeCastro was. It was definitely the smart pick considering our choices. Though it would have been sweet to have Donald or Shazier.

Even Nagy too though. I look at it like he simply wasn't that talented, and so got drafted in the 7th round. However, he still did well (for a 7th) and actually started for a while, which is way more than his draft position would indicate.

They just put out good OL, period.

I wonder if the OL quality will do down now with the coaching change? And will Arkansas OL quality go up?

Nagy was athletic and a try hard guy, maybe would have been better under Callahan's blocking scheme than Houck's. Better player than the overrated Arkin. And I absolutely loved the Frederick pick.

I was actually shocked when we picked him. Never heard of him and it had to sink in that we actually made a sensible pick for once - rather than picks that are flashy. I believe that it was Jerry that pulled the trigger on Travis. Despite him being aloof at times, he has hit this one out of the park. I also credit him for picking D. Ware over Merriman. Sometimes, a very blind squirrel gets a nut.
