That photo with Martin, Frederick & Smith looks so awesome. Anyone have a large, clean version of it anywhere?

That was awesome. I absolutely love this OL. Great group of players. The worst of the group is still a good player and there are three that are blue chip players.

Personally, I think Travis Frederick is the glue that holds it all together and is the most important member of the line. What a terrific pick he was. Anyone making fun of the teams draft picks should think back to Frederick's selection and hold their tongue because you just never know.

Hey, I remember people complaining how Dallas gave up getting Safety Eric Reid (trading that pick to the 49ers). Dallas ended up picking Travis Frederick and then Terrence Williams!

Even though I am geeked about how Dallas fared in this trade, in reality both teams got what they wanted.

I was actually shocked when we picked him. Never heard of him and it had to sink in that we actually made a sensible pick for once - rather than picks that are flashy. I believe that it was Jerry that pulled the trigger on Travis. Despite him being aloof at times, he has hit this one out of the park. I also credit him for picking D. Ware over Merriman. Sometimes, a very blind squirrel gets a nut.

I really wanted us to draft Frederick. I had him in the 3rd round of my mock draft, but of course that was based on online suggestions of where players would go. He was picked late in the 1st round, and there was a run on offensive linemen. He was highly touted as the best center in the draft by far. The reality is that Frederick a lot like Witten was unrated in the draft. This time it took a lot more to get Frederick, but it was the right pick to make.

I've liked every 1st round offensive linemen we've taken recently.

You've liked every first round OL pick recently...... that's great because Jerry Jones never drafted OL in the first round until Garrett became coach and drafted Tyron. Then had two more in the past 3 years. So I guess you have liked all first round OL picks since Jerry has been Owner

If our OL's nickname is "The Great Wall", the our DL will likely earn the nick name "The Great Stall".

Nagy was athletic and a try hard guy, maybe would have been better under Callahan's blocking scheme than Houck's. Better player than the overrated Arkin. And I absolutely loved the Frederick pick.

Nagy did well for a rookie 7th round pick, then he got injured.

You know what they call teams that try to win championships by building the offensive line?

The Kansas City Chiefs.

I had Center as the top need in the draft that year. I liked Fred for a power scheme but I was uncertain if Callahan would like him for his Zone scheme. I've since figured out that Callahan is not looking for smaller quick players like some Zone teams have done in the past. Fred, Bern and Leary were all big players on the interior last season. None of them fit that small but quick mold. They're what I would call quick enough. Martin is more of a fit in the really quick mold but he's also powerful.

We should get a good view of the practice being applied this upcoming Exhibition Game against Miami. The team should be able to push the ball between the 20's. We will then see how good they are in the Red Zone...where the direction taken should reveal itself.

Fantastic video!

I have always been an OL-first kind of guy. A dominant OL can cover up a ton of warts, on both sides of the ball.

I loved Fred as a player from the beginning, but didn't have him close to the first round. When the draft fell like it did, with all the OL going fast and the NYJ/Carolina snatching up Richardson/Lotulelei, I was really bummed, my misery topped off by what I then thought looked like a really crappy trade. There wasn't a player that excited me at the end of round 1. When Fred was announced as the pick, I loved the player but wondered if we coulda gotten him half a round later. As always, though, I took an optimistic wait-and-see attitude. This year, I am not getting the credit I am due. I was terrified of a Manziel selection, so when our pick was up, I sat here chanting "mar-TIN! mar-TIN! mar-TIN!" So, just so everyone knows, the successful selection of Zach Martin was all me. ;)

I will never moan about highly drafting offensive linemen.
