Rrrriiiggghhhttt.
Because the media made T.O. do that "Desperate Housewives" opening for Monday Night.
Because the media made T.O. sit down and do an interview with Deion Sanders.
Because the media made T.O. come to the press podium after ever game.
Because the media made T.O. write "Little T.O. Learns to Share" children's books.
Because the media made T.O.'s former publicist say "He has 50 million reasons (or how many reasons he had) to live."
Because the media made T.O. ride a stationary bike in a sleek biking outfit while his teammates were practicing.
Because the media compells T.O. to give an interview to Playboy where he suggests Jeff Garcia is "gay."
Because the media made T.O. say to his Coach Andy Reid, "My name is not Andy Reid Jr."
Because the media made T.O. rat on McNabb that he "choked" in the playoffs.
Because the media makes T.O. take off his shirt to display his abs to every fitness magazine there is.
Wow. I need to get this "media power" you guys are talking about. Maybe I can get my wife to do some things I want her to. :laugh1:
Oh goodie, here comes more "piling" from a member of the T.O. Police Force. How novel.
"Because the media made T.O. do that "Desperate Housewives" opening for Monday Night."
Oh, this is a new thing to complain about pertaining to T.O. I guess that skit was HIS fault...he must have made ABC executives come up with the idea for Nicolette Sheridan to let her towel fall to the floor with the implication being that there's nothing on underneath.
Darn that T.O. and his pregame conceptz.
Really really really bad bad bad egregious evil heinous thing # 98743984389439843 that Terrell Owens has done in his career.
"Because the media made T.O. sit down and do an interview with Deion Sanders."
As I noted in my prior post, this was an unnecessary interview and not a particularly wise choice on his part. That said, Deion obviously used his "friendship" with Owens to get him to agree to it...then baited him with questions about his production and had the producers use lots of splice editing to take things he said out of context.
Still, the only thing in that interview that didn't sound very good was when he ended part one with "it's the system that I'm in."
You think of Deion were interviewing any other player about his lack of production that anyone would've given a rat's ***? Even Chad Johnson/Ocho Cinco or whatever he goes by now has gone completely stale for the media, and he changed his freak'n last name to a joke.
Now--what do you think, in terms of isolated incidents, is more of an "attention grabber?" Doing a sitdown interview with Deion Sanders for a few minutes, or CHANGING YOUR LAST NAME TO THE SPANISH TRANSLATION OF YOUR JERSEY NUMBER?
"Because the media made T.O. come to the press podium after ever game."
If he didn't come to the press podium after every game they'd begin speculating why he wasn't. It would result in more "anonymous sources" saying he skipped it because he's secretly FUMING about not getting enough passes his way.
Most star players come to the podium after games. Owens is a star player. As big as they come.
"Because the media made T.O. write "Little T.O. Learns to Share" children's books."
Damn that T.O.--now he's writing CHILDREN'S BOOKS? What a team cancer and a horrible person.
What in the hell are you trying to get at with this?
"Because the media made T.O.'s former publicist say 'He has 50 million reasons (or how many reasons he had) to live.'"
No, but members of the media were the ones (*cough* Ed Werder (cough) who dug into Owens being hospitalized with a painkiller overdose and came up with an unchecked story about how it was allegedly a "suicide attempt."
Nonetheless, Owens can't control what his publicist says when she's being interviewed by the media.
"Because the media made T.O. ride a stationary bike in a sleek biking outfit while his teammates were practicing."
And this is a problem HOW, exactly? Only idiots with no sense of humor have a problem with this.
He was being humorous. You must have forgotten how he was getting shredded in the press for the "faking the hamstring injury to get out of training camp and test the waters with Bill Parcells" nonsense.
That entire situation is just proof of the fact that the media is ultimately who decides what's "newsworthy."
"Because the media compells T.O. to give an interview to Playboy where he suggests Jeff Garcia is "gay."
So the media (Playboy in this instance) weren't the ones who asked Owens if he thought Garcia might be gay?
"Because the media made T.O. say to his Coach Andy Reid, "My name is not Andy Reid Jr."
No...Andy Reid telling him to "shut up" is what brought that out.
"Because the media made T.O. rat on McNabb that he "choked" in the playoffs."
Owens never said McNabb choked in the playoffs. You might want to do some research.
"Because the media makes T.O. take off his shirt to display his abs to every fitness magazine there is."
Bwahahaha. Are you serious?
If you're trying to use this to argue that this is why he garners attention...um....do you have any freak'n idea how many football players (and other athletes) have posed for fitness magazines before?
And I noticed: You listed all these things and nothing from 2000-2002. Why is that? He was every bit as much maligned before every single one of the "incidents" you listed. Why did you only list things from 2003 and beyond?
