First of all 2005 and 2007 have NOTHING to do with this year so bringing that up is irrelevant.

You made it relevant when you said runs like last year don't happen very often. While last years 7 straight was even more impressive, 2005 and 2007 were almost as good.

Second in 05 they were never under .500 let alone 3 games under .500
Third in 05 and 07 they didn't win the division.

yes they were. they were 5 and 6 and had to win 5 straight to make the playoffs. and in 2007 they were 5 and 7 and had to win 4 straight. again not as impressive as having to win seven straight, but impressive none the less.

As yes I'm saying it won't happen and will continue to.

I certainly hope not, and don't think it will, but I (and likely you) would've said they weren't going to win 7 straight last year. Rebounding from 2 games back, when you play a team twice, with 13 games remaining is much easier.

I've said this before. The team with the best defense in our division will be the last standing. As a WHOLE, our defense has been the most consistent and has found ways to keep us in ball games. It's been a while since I've seen this much hustle from the entire defense on the field.

The Giants do have one of the best front fours in the league and can easily turn it around. Their biggest two issues are a lack of run game and TO's.

In the days leading up until this game there was talk about RGIII being let loose. To me that's just a ploy to deceive everyone away from the truth, which is they are a one trick offense. Teams have adjusted to the option/pistol and Washington will continue to spiral south.

Philly is trying to convince themselves that Kelly's offense will breed success at this level. In this offense Vick will be exposed to some big hits and its only a matter of time before he gets seriously hurt. This team is the most inconsistent and outside of their DE's they're sloppy on defense.

With all that said, we need to continue to play at a more consistent level than our counterparts within the division.

Very confused about this. Not sure how 05 and 07 are relevant to what I said. Name one player or coach on the 05 and 07 Skins playing now. Bringing that crap up is equivalent to fans on here bringing up the 90s Cowboys.

Good Lord man who cares about 05 and 07 except you. Great they were 1 game under .500 good for them. You are really reaching way down in that bag to find something. The Commanders will not go on a run like that this year no matter what they did 6 and 8 years ago lol.

who said runs like this don't happen very often, you or me? to confirm or refute that statement, you would need to bring up........history. and unfortunately, I can tell you as someone who enjoys watching the Commanders lose, I didn't have to reach all the way down in the bag to pull those two up/

Best team on paper? How?

That's easy.
RG3 has the knee, the Giants have lost a ton of talent over the past 3 seasons in free agency and the Eagles were bad enough to get Reid fired last season yet added really zero talent.

We are a mediocre team on paper. Soft at Safety and the OL. We are stacked at DL(less so we THOUGHT minus Spencer and Rat but stacked nonetheless, have a top 10 QB, the best WR and the best TE in the division.
But mediocre is far better than what the other groups are throwing out there.

If RG3 was 100% the skins might be in the conversation, but that offense was all RG3.
The Giants were starting Dan Connor at LB....
The Eagles were once again counting on Mike Vick.

I think us adding Waters was based largely on this division being so imminently winnable.

It is obviously very early, but this division might be won with 9 wins and we have a 2 game cushion essentially.
The Saints, Packers, Broncos and Bears are all tough teams. But we don't look to need 11 wins to get out of this division.

That is sound logic, my man. We saw a good outing against a below average team in the trenches. Lets see this again with another good OL and DL outing against a good team.

Don't completely discount the Rams in the trenches. They tied for the league lead in sacks last year, and had 6 in their first two games. Their offensive line hadn't given up a sack yet this season. In fact, they had gone 4 straight games without giving up a sack going back to last year.

I don't think they are world beaters by any means, but they're not below average in the trenches. Their problems stem more from a lack of skill players on offense and a shaky back 7 on defense.

Yup. The Rams are built thru the trenches like everyone wants us to be....
High picks and big contracts galore there.
Very questionable skill guys on both sides of the ball after Bradford.

Skins got Raiders next week - probably win #1 but if they manage to lose that it's turn out the lights. 1-3 likely.

Gints go to KC - man talk about salt on the wound! Their defense better win that one for them because they won't be running much. 0-4 likely.

Eagles got the toughest one - in Denver after two demoralizing losses at home. Peyton may top his 7 TD passes haha. 1-3 likely.

Cowboys got a tough one vs a better than 1-2 SD team on the road. If we can pull out a W there we build up a little cushion for the Denver game the following week.

THought Griffin looked better today. But that's a large hole for them.
