Does anybody else wish that the coaches would talk to these boys and let them know not to bite the HAND that FEEDS THEM? Ever?

100 percent loyalty from the day making the 53 man roster should be instilled. You play for the TEAM as long as the TEAM NEEDS YOU.

These boys need to understand they are being done a favor, and many would be working menial jobs rather than enjoying the rich lifestyle if the NFL wasn't around. Tired of all this primadonna bull.

Those are exact opposite sentiments.

They are being done a favor - most without a college degree struggle in life.

You don't think that most without a college degree struggle much more? Do the majority of NFL athletes have a degree?

Well, for one, more than half have a degree.

But no, they aren't doing them a favor. They are paying for work and cut players when they become disposable.

Players Unions are a factor in any discussions on players. Since the Players Unions would never support this approach, it's never going to be the case. Empty discussion IMO.

Talented players know their skills are in demand and consequently can behave like prima-donnas because there is always someone else willing to take them on.

Exactly, great players are in high demand. You can't really do anything about it. However, prima-donnas with great skill sets are in lower demand than great players who are leaders. It all works itself out in the market.

Sure you could, if the league valued character and integrity and doing business in a way that promoted that and encouraged and set an example for the millions of kids growing up could see that its valued. The NFL gets involved in "social" issues that have nothing to with football like promoting gay rights and reacting to any issue where they perceive some public outcry that will cost them dollars, but being a league that is principled simply because its the right thing to do is not the NFL.
