So, since they own it wouldn't it not affect them one way nor the other if they moved it to NBC? Espically, the more people who watch the more money they recieve. They could do it, I dont see a downside to letting every fan watch it.

This game is exactly the ace in the hole the NFL has been needing to help force the hand of the cable giants. There will be plenty of ill will directed at Comcast and Time Warner over this.

Its a travesty really, an epic game and most of America is shutout. I personally think congress should get invloved to help settle the dispute.

Well, the game won't be moved to any other network. Other than that, it's hard to say what will happen between now and game time.

anyone else see those commercials about AT&T being able to deliver tv services but they want the rules bent for them (ie they say not be held accountable for service breakdown or something). does anyone know more about it?

My sister just got cable/broadband/telephone package through Verizon its called FiOs and its through fiber optics all the premium channels etc... paying $99 a month and before her COx cable bill for the same services was $190.

I didnt know it existed until she was telling me about it today.

Oh God no!

They need to stay as far away from this as possible. All we need is the Government to get into messing with the NFL.

If you want the cable companies to carry it, call them and cancel your service, get Direct TV. When they ask you why you canceled tell them you want your NFL network on the basic system.

If enough people do it, they will add it. It's that simple. Really.

But no way do I want the government within 100 miles of anything to do with the NFL.

You dont think the government is already invloved in broadcasting?

I dont think its necessarily a bad thing for the FCC to sit both sides down and arbitrate some kind of deal to get the network broadcast to the masses. The vast majority of America are cable TV customers.

Broadcasting?

They should not get involved in who can sell their product for who and dictate the terms of it.

What is FIOS?

I live right out side of Nashville myself. Just curious what that is.

it does affect them. If they move all the good games to regular broadcast then they have nothing to dangle in front of the cable companies they are fighting with.

Because Billions of dollars are riding on the possible deal between the cable companies and the NFL, they are affected quite a bit.
