They went along with the 10 million dollars cap hit that Mara and Goodell put on the cowboys a few years back. when there was no cap for spending on players. now they are back here saying the cowboys are not spending enough money on players. http://cowboysblog.***BANNED-URL***/2015/02/nflpa-dallas-cowboys-must-spend-more-cash.html/i have had about enough of D-Smith and his BS. he never should have went along with the crap that Mara and Goodell pulled. he help punish 2 of the biggest spenders in the NFL at back then. now that Jerry is not spending like that anymore.here the NFLPA comes crying about that. they can go to hell for all i care.and i have been one of the people mad at Jerry for not spending much on free-Agents the last few years.since Brandon Carr, they have done nothing in free- Agency but small cheap things. but just the idea of the NFLPA coming back with this after what they went along with is a joke. anyone else feel like i do about this.

Did the NFLPA go along with Mara and Goodell over the Cowboys thing? I thought there is pending legal stuff still between the NFLPA and the NFL over allegations of collusion?

The NFLPA went along with the cap hit only because the NFL agreed to bump the overall 2012 salary cap by over $100 million total ($4M per team). They didn't simply "go along", they negotiated over it. What it tells you is that the owners really wanted to punish the 'Boys and 'Skins, even though it cost them money to do it.

The current issue (and it's not really even an issue yet) is simply about a straightforward requirement of the CBA.

So the NFL fines the Cowboys CAP $5,000,000.00
Then gives all teams $4,000,000 more to spend?????

This is a non -story.
Dallas will easily meet the spending cap.

They are under because they were far over to start the new cap era so had to self-correct with limited spending.
They could meet this with one payment to Tony Romo, lol.

Dallas has 20 free agents so they will be spending cash this year.

Next time you want to go on a tirade...how about linking to an article that has something to do with the tirade you are going on.

The article you linked to is from 2012 and talks about the Cowboys selling Jerry Wipes for charity after someone seen Jerry getting his Glasses cleaned by someone else during a game.
