A lot of bad ideas in this thread.
There really isn't anyone out there that is going to be better prepared than Weeden. We are going to live and die with him until Romo is back,.
The idea of bringing in a Tebow and running the spread is a ridiculous idea. You don't change your entire system to an offense that doesn't even suit the other 10 guys on your team.
If you are looking for a replacement, it probably needs to be a guy that has played with Linnehan...so Stanton might be the type you would get. We already have Kellen Moore who has been in his system and is a student of the game. Moore is very much like a Colt McCoy, is supposed to be exceptionally smart in regard to offensive schemes and while possibly not having an NFL caliber arm might be able to manage a game...not unlike a Jason Garrett back in the day.
The positive is that Weeden has worked a lot with the #2 receivers and has got extra time working with the ones on Wednesdays. He can be a good play action passer.....need to pound the rock, cut down on penalties and run a safer offense.
Finally, the idea we should shut down Romo and Bryant because they might not be ready for 10 weeks is really dumb. You play them when they are healthy. Period. If we are 2-8 after 10 weeks we can shut them down but it makes no sense to even consider that when they could be ready in 6 weeks.
