Has anyone explained how Knowshon Moreno was not down by contact on the play Garrett challenged?

I can understand missing the contact live, but given a chance to comb over the replay, how can you not see the contact between Selvie's hand and Moreno's on the back of the linemen right before Moreno goes down to one knee?

If you wanna complain about the calls, this would be one and the pick plays that Denver runs.

I thought maybe it had been explained somewhere because no one seems to be complaining about it.

Is it true that one of the Broncos speared Romo late after he had been sacked? They didn't show it on TV, but Talkin Cowboys was discussing it. One of the Broncos intentionally hit Romo in his ribs while he was lying on the ground after being sacked. They said it was blatant but the officials just ignored it. I guess those who were at the game can confirm it. If true, that's a dirty play but based on how the game was being officiated, the Broncos knew they wouldn't call it.

I don't care who you pool for if you watch the NFL you can clearly see the officiating is piss poor. It's getting worse than the NBA. I have friends who are players or ex players. They have both told me referees play the favorites and it's downright disgusting to witness first hand.

I was told before the last Super Bowl that that was Ray Lewis's Super Bowl to win because the NFL wanted another story similar to Jerome Bettis or John Elway. Where a player is retiring, announces it before the game and just ride off into the sunset so they can sell millions and millions and millions of those DVDs and all that other crap.

I'll be honest I didn't believe them. I thought to myself, yeah right there's no way that's going to happen. Then when I saw 2 ravens punch 49ers in the face right in front of a referees face and several other blatant calls were overlooked I really had to second-guess my original thought.

I'm not saying there's a conspiracy against Dallas but I do think referees tend to make calls based upon a certain teams history and reputation. Only creating an uneven playing field. And no one will ever be able to tell me that that game Sunday was officiated on an even playing field. I saw it live and I've re-watched it several times. And it wasn't just this game, it happens every week. Different teams different calls.

No offense to anyone in their 50s and 60s but there's no way half of these guys are in the physical shape or have the eyesight to keep up with and see what happens at that speed. It's a joke. The day will come when officiating becomes done by someone Behind a camera in a booth and each player is watched. It might be 20 years from now but I guarantee it will happen.

No really? Players complaining that referees play favorites ?
Well, that seals it, must be true because players never feel that way unless it is true

Sorry OP but I just don't see it. Refs are bad in every game, every week. They miss calls cause that's what happens with humans. They miss things. It happens.

It's got nothing to do with Jerry or the Dallas Cowboys.

I never said they complained. They just told me how it I s. They also said than man to man they knew that going in so they knew not to leave it up to the officials because they weren't going to get certain calls against certain players.

Like I said at first I didn't believe them or maybe I didn't want to believe them but I knew in the back my mind that none of these guys had any reason to lie. And knowing the type of people they are I also knew they wouldn't just make that kind of stuff up. They weren't vindictive about it they just simply said this is how it is if you don't believe me then watch this. And Bam it played out right in front of my eyes.

You don't believe me go back and watch the Super Bowl. Watch The ravens player punch San Francisco player in the face right in front of referee. Not only does The player stay in the game but the referee didn't even throw a flag.

Don't fool yourself like an eight-year-old who still believes in Santa Claus. I'm not saying it's fixed and I'm not saying there's a vendetta against the Cowboys. But we all know certain players get certain calls and certain teams have a history that precedes them. But where I call BS is when referees give special treatment to certain teams because certain players or coaches are A part of that team.

You can't tell me Romo gets the same treatment that Peyton Manning gets. Or Tom Brady for that matter. That's not playing fair that's playing favorites.

Every week in every NFL city a group of fans (typically on message forums like CZ) complains how the Refs have it out for their team. I've never given much credence to this type of conspiracy theory and aren't about to start now.

The worst one I noticed was Denver had the ball 1st and 10 on their own 20. They got a holding call against them on 1st down . Should be 1st and 20 from their own 10 right ? Nope it was 1st and 20 (on screen) but they somehow had the ball on the 14 yard line . AND if you go back and watch the tape the 1st down marker was only 16 yards away from the line of scrimmage . I don't know how the refs could screw up that terribly or how no one on our sidelines said anything .

I don't scream about the refs but there were some ridiculous calls. The Bronco's didn't need the help from the refs which is what made it frustrating.

Yeah, in watching the 22, the pick on Carr in that final drive was so ---ing egregious. The two receivers kept pre-snap adjusting with Carr and Carter to obviously set up the pick. Then the outside receiver basically hunted Carr down and backed into him - right in front of the refs - it could have been a real game changer.

What got me is they didn't even try to hid the fact that is what they were doing.

Why should they? they have been doing this crap to the cowboys for years, and nobody gives a damn that we are getting screwed. just watch the games and see how they even spot the freaking ball. the ref is standing right there watching J. whiten getting pushed out of bound way down the field and he calls nothing. Ware never gets any holding calls. that's why he can't get sacks even against back-ups. want to know why we had no pass rush even against the Chargers 3 back-up O-Linemen that played? go back and watch the choke holds they were allowed to use on our D-Line with no call from the cheating A-- refs. something is going on here, and it has been happening for years. that Dez offensive of PI Kansas city was a disgrace. it was a flatout joke. and it's not just what they call, it's what they won't call on the other team. it is a joke.

Yeah, watching it again in broadcast mode, it was even more blatant. The line judge was watching the whole thing from 10 yards away and wouldn't even look at Carr when he approached him after the play. Thomas was smiling back at Moreno walking back to the huddle - confirming the pick. So obvious and proximate to the refs in a shortened field like that.
