Why hasn't Elliott not been saying anything to the press at all? Why does Elliott like chicken more than fish?

Incredulity is not an argument. Not all people act like you would or want them to.
Maybe, but the court of public opinion can judge and convict, especially when mass media gets on board. I don't believe his lack of outright denial makes him guilty, but it also does not make me believe he's innocent either, which is why I said I don't have an opinion on what he did or did not do.

You are right, what I think or expect is irrelevant, but what I have been reading by people all of the internet including on many non-sports sites, the court of public opinion right now thinks the NFL went soft on him. If he's okay with having that hang over his head long after his suspension ends, that's his right of course.

"Hey everybody. I want to say that the NFL is a lying pile of **** and I. DID. NOT. HIT. THAT. WOMAN! That's bull****, yo."

^^^^ Is that the response some were expecting?

I read that with the voice of Dave Chappelle doing the voice of Bill Clinton in my head... funny stuff.

Not gonna lie...that "I.DID.NOT." line came from Billy Jeff. Now, please excuse me as I have to change addresses in order to avoid being the 149th person "suicided".

Right. Two in the back of the head. No gun. Suicided.

I hope they never find you. I need the laughs.

Strategically written response. Not giving any weight to the "events of that night." I liked it. Very PC.

The guy has shown that he has little respect for women. That much we know. He's shown that he loves living the superstar lifestyle. Now he's going to have to show that he can act like a responsible adult or his career is going to go down the tubes - taking the Cowboys' fortunes with it.

This suspension sucks for the fans. I'm completely bummed about the season and what could have been. Not that I'm giving up, but I just know the difference between winning and losing in this league is often razor thin.

We need to stop blaming the NFL for some made up agenda against the Cowboys. It doesn't exist. They don't want to suspend one of the league's brightest young stars. He needs to get his act together.

Speak for yourself. Outside of the he said/she said DV case that was a non-starter with the REAL AUTHORITIES, the pulling down of the shirt and exposing a boob during a St. Patrick's parade (poor man's Marde Gras) of his girly friend (who exposed herself minutes later) was the only real concrete evidence that the guy mingles with the mingling ladies. I don't subscribe to this all-encompassing, women-hating view of Zeke. Is he dumb off-field? Surely. Is he a Josh Brown type of guy....not in my opinion.

There's a mile of gray area between Josh Brown and just dumb. Pulling a women's shirt down is something you don't do if you respect women.

I do not have an opinion on what he did or did not do. That said, there is one thing that is missing from his response .. and that is ... a denial.

So, he disagrees with their findings. Most people, who are accused of doing something they didn't do, would be professing their innocence to anyone who would listen at this point. Why isn't he saying, "I never laid a hand on her!"? Why isn't he saying, "She lied about all of this, I didn't do it!"?

He disagrees with the NFL's findings. What suspended player has ever agreed with the NFL's findings? He is sorry for the distraction and disruption it has caused everyone around him. Why? If he did nothing wrong, it would not be his fault. He admits he's far from perfect and plans to work hard to mature. That sentence alone makes it sound like he's guilty of something.

Again, I do not have an opinion because forming one without all of the facts is pointless. It just is really surprising that he's not outright denying any of it. He has downplayed whatever happened up until now, and after the ruling, he disagrees with the "findings", admits he's not perfect and will work to mature. That sounds more like someone who did something wrong, and they only disagree with the punishment.

Hopefully, more details will come out at some point. I just hope they do a better job of declaring his innocence than Elliott has.
I think his lawyers and the Cowboys advisors remember how a Denial worked for Greg Hardy.
Everyone just went harder after him partly because he wouldn't just accept everyone's closed minded conclusion.

I see nothing wrong with his statement.

Its simply not possible to know what took place between Elliott and Thompson. To me, on Elliotts part, it has a bad smell to it.
If she wasn't caught trying to get people to lie for her and tell Elliott in a text that she was going to ruin him , I might believe her more. I'm not 100% convinced that Elliott is innocent but I do know there is no proof that he's guilty and that's what the NFL found.
