Troy played most games against the pack in Dallas. I remember holmgen freaking out about the schedule makers always having the packers - Cowboys games in Dallas. We lost in Green Bay when they were at their peak and the Cowboys were falling apart.

During the peak years Troy would have won in green bay

This is a little misleading. Troy Aikman, Danny White, and Roger Staubach have all beaten the Packers in away games in Wisconsin. It's just been at Milwaukee County Stadium, not at Lambeau Field. Here are the results:

10/06/1991 Cowboys 20, Packers 17 Milwaukee County Stadium
09/28/1980 Cowboys 28, Packers 7 Milwaukee County Stadium
11/12/1978 Cowboys 42, Packers 14 Milwaukee County Stadium

It's kind of odd that we haven't played in lambeau that much since 1980. We've played there 6 times since 1980. For an NFC team that is really odd. The games that stand out to me in:

97 we were completely outmatched 45-17 as we were on the downward trend with the core getting older and the Packers were the defending Super Bowl champs and went back to the Super Bowl in 97.

04 we weren't very good again and the Packers were a playoff team and we got blown out 41-20.

08 Rodgers first year as a starter and we beat them 27-16. That was the year where I thought we were going to repeat what we did in 07 as this was the 3rd game of the season and we started 3-0.

09 Roy Williams fumble on his way to a big play in the 2nd quarter and we never seemed to get the offense going that day. Neither team did. The game was 3-0 GB going into the 4th quarter and we lost 18-7

10 well we all know what happened in this game. The team officially quit and Wade was fired after the game we lost 45-7.

I am hopeful that the results will be better up there as we clearly are sending the best team in recent memory up there this time.

prior to revenue sharing the Packers had major issues trying to compete with the rest of the teams. Lambaugh was pretty small, prior to renovations in the mid 90's, so this was for financial reasons

Yep and it didn't help that the Packers weren't every good for most of the 70s-early 90s. They only went to the playoffs once from 1973-1993 and that was a work stoppage year when half the teams in the NFL went to the playoffs(1982)

The Packers have only won one home playoff game since Aaron Rodgers took over at QB.

He said today that this year is different, that they just step on the field at home and believe they will win.
