The Only Positive Dak Thread

If you understand roster building and football, then you realize that teams are built through the draft. Nothing to do with Dak. In fact, by keeping Dak, you dont have to spend DRAFT capital finding another QB. And all you had to waste finding him was a 4th round comp pick. You could spend the next 5 years and 2 to 3 first round picks finding the next QB as good as Dak. Then you have to develop him. Good luck building a defense wasting picks on the next QB.

You guys just have no clue. No nice way to put it.

Here is my positive Dak post. I am positive he can take a team to the Big Dance, if it is a balanced team.

The fact is he is a good QB but he's not as good as the Daksters state or as bad as the Dakaters state.

The hand wringing over what they will pay him is ridiculous. They were paying him 31M less than they paid him last season, how they do building around him? It's not about the money as much as the evaluation of talent.

Dak is not the problem, they are. They're going to pay some QB in the 35-40M range whether it's him or another one. Until they learn how to build a team, this QB problem will be with us. Just as it was with his predecessor. Different guy, same problem.

Dak is a top 7 QB. That is a fact. There is NO QB problem in Dallas. The problem is the defense. Anyone that talks about Dak or the offense being an issue in Dallas is a clown. 35 million is the going rate for top 10 franchise QB's. Everyone with a top 10 QB is paying or will be paying the same thing. There will be no advantage or disadvantage.

That was an unprecedented 3-game stretch by Dak where he became the only player in NFL history to throw for at least 450 yards in 3 straight games.

He also became the only player in history to pass for 400 yards and rush for 3 TDs in a game.

If we only had a defense.

With all the so called great stats he puts up in 2019 we still g 8-8 and these great stats of 2020 he had a losing record because all of our best resources are put into the offense as noted by their high output while the defensive talent is below average.

...and this is because Dak missed the last 10.5 games of the 2020 season due to injury. Also, Dak was on record pace to shatter Peyton Manning's single season NFL passing record of 5,400 yards by 1,200 yards for an average around 6,600 passing yards.

I know people hate Garrett but one of the things he got correct was going down field and not just short easy routes all the time like some teams. We lost that a bit when both tackles went down, dalton couldnt get the time needed to go downfield accurately.

Dak's a good QB, but I don't get the need of you guys to try and validate him constantly. Use all this research to find a defense then maybe Dak can get back to the playoffs.

You may have noticed there is an element on this site that expends a tremendous amount of energy trying to INvalidate Dak constantly. Because for whatever reason they don't want him to be the QB of this team. I think people just get a bit of a kick out of reminding those .. er.. folks how wrong they are about him.. and how wrong they will continue to be.

We've drafted for Defense 2x more than for Offense. The problem is the Cowboys front office has failed badly at drafting good talent for Defense.
