The ONLY way I would accept T.O.

First of all, I wouldn't want the contract being what T.O. wanted.

Secondly, the first time that T.O. tries to pull any of his crap, I would hope that B.P. would sit him down or allow RW to shut him up in RW's own way.

If BP allowed T.O. to get away with ANYTHING, I would lose ALOT of respect for B.P.

Honestly, I don't see B.P. allowing such a cancer into the locker room. KJ and TG are different as B.P has coached them before and knows what they are about.

B.P. said things at the beginning of camp that doesn't quit lend credence to us being the front runner...however, what B.P says and does are often totally different things.

For now...NO to T.O.!

The key is if he takes the role that BP thinks is best for the team and he come at a reasonable price. If he could humble himself that much then he would be a possible addition to the team. Until then, I say H#!! no!

My feeling is if we have to create all these qualifications for T.O. (or any player), the guy probably isn't worth the time, effort, or stress to begin with.

If we were 1 player away, maybe we bite the bullet. That said, we're doing fine without him.

Personally, he would be the first player to wear the Star that I'd dislike. I think the guy's a fool.

It's too much of a risk with his history as a nutcase. I'd be tempted given his rare talent, but I would pass.

Pat Kirwan is an old New York Jets general manager who now does a show on SIRIUS NFL radio. He was talking about who would take TO and how to structure a deal to protect yourself from him going off the deep end again and taking the team with him. I thought his idea was pretty inventive.

His idea was to sign TO for the league minimum and give him a WEEKLY five hundred thousand dollar bonus. If he behaves, he gets paid, if he doesnt he is SOL and the team doesnt take a huge cap hit.

Now you would think TO and Rosenhaus wouldnt touch that type of deal but who knows how much better of an offer they could get.

Personally, I'd pass on the guy, BP doesnt like to go pass happy anyway so why take that type of gamble. I'd rather see good old Danny boy in DC spend big bucks (10 times more then anyone else would have paid ofcourse) to bring in TO and watch him gut another one of our division opponents. :)

I don't think Roy Williams would shut him up in his own way. From reports of the fight TO was in he could of maimed Douglas

The fight was way overblown from what I hear.....not even a punch landed. First, reports of TO getting a couple in....then he didn't.

First of all, when you have other players jumping in the middle, you can't judge that kind of a fight....secondly, RW would do just fine....I would imagine that BP could tell the team prior to TO's arrival how things will be handled.

even if we signed TO, he behaved, and we won a SB, I'd still want him gone...
I'd love the ring but still hate the TO...

The only way I would accept TO is if he wanted to sign a 1 day contract to retire as a Cowboy, and then him and his agent would have to do a lot of butt kissing and a lot of under the table money coming this way. Then he can sign it and then get the hell out of town. He would never put on a star and never practice or take a live snap for the boys.

But I aint Jerry Jones trying to sell tickets. God, I hope this story has no legs, but I smell PT Barnam in this and Jerrys the closest thing to PT since PT.

Deion was also a better, more talented player than TO, he was maybe the most versatile player of his generation.

And Deion wasnt a punk, he just had an....odd personality

I remember Deion always making himself the focus and seeking the spotlight but I don't remember him bashing his own organization, repeat I DON"T REMEMBER THAT BEHAVIOR. Maybe he did but i don't remember it.

Deion had a lot of respect for Troy and Emmitt when he came here I think.
I despised him but rooted for him as a Cowboy.
I'd still despise him except he became a Christian.

I wonder where I heard that idea before?

Deion, IMO was one of the first guys to realize that this is a business.
He tried to put himself in situations where he could shine.

He was also a great teacher and team guy (workouts, unselfishness, etc.)

TO is all about TO. There is nothing more to him.

Simply winning isnt good enough for TO. He needs to be the focus of attention every year, he needs to be the the guy everyone wants on their team.

He has put himself in a position where his talent is an afterthought.

Everyone says you can't use Key and Glenn for comparison to T.O. because Parcells previously coached Key and Glenn, so he knew them.

Well yes, that's true; but think about it...there was a point in time when Parcells got them on his roster and he never coached them before, but look at the relationship he developed with them. The reason Parcells reached both of those guys is because he took a genuine interest in them and became something of a tough, but loving father figure to them. T.O. could very well fall into that same category.

Memories are pretty short around here about us bringing in these two guys simply because Key and Glenn have behaved themselves with Parcells as the coach.
Well think about this...Name me 2 starting NFL WRs (not named T.O.) who were suspended/terminated from their respective teams during the middle of the season for insubordination to their Head Coach and Management? Shouldn't take too long to come up with that answer since there can't be but about 2 of them in the entire league and they start for Bill Parcells and the Dallas Cowboys! :D

T.O. is much more talented than Key or Glenn, so you can bet Parcells will give this one a long, hard look. I see T.O. in Big D next year!
