Some think a trade of Branch for Carpenter might be possible.

Some are ready to give up O'Callaghan for Shanle, and some think they can get Bradie James for Gorin.

And some expect a swap of Branch for Owens.

There are eleven pages to the thread.

LMAO
Some think a trade of Branch for Carpenter might be possible. NO WAY

some think they can get Bradie James for Gorin. NO WAY

And some expect a swap of Branch for Owens. NO WAY (although so on here may wish)

What's it going to be then, eh?

This is no different from the silliness of expecting a Deion Branch acquisition.

You know what they say about people in glass houses.

Here's the one interesting nugget I found in that crackfest:

But I pondering the fact that with the Cowboy scout in camp that we decided to put O'Callaghan with the ones. They might have been showcasing our new tallent to make a trade

I think fans of all teams imagine that their players are coveted to the point that they can swap warm bodies for talent.

We expect too much in return for Shanle. They're expecting us to offer some of our key players for scrubs.

Ultimately this trade will be a "so what" for both teams. Shanle isn't all that and the guy we get back will likely be a depth player in return.

To quote Shakespeare, "much ado about nothing."

It will be a depth trade, but there is nothing wrong with that. If you can add a key reserve for a guy you were going to cut loose anyway, its a win/win situation for both teams.

and Pat fans, yes, Jerry Jones still runs the team, but BP makes most of the decisions now, as well as Jeff Ireland

Shanle is a player.....and come september 10 all of you haters are going to realize this kid is the next Tedy Bruschi and will be a anchor in our defense for years to come. The Answer has scouted this kid for years now and his emergence last year was no mistake.

In defense of The Answer, there are fans on the Patriots board who think a trade of Shanle for Gorin would be a steal for the Pats. . . . .Although, in truth, it might be the other way around.

The Answer needs to give up on scouting.

The Answer knows a lot of pats fans because of his east coast connection.....they are very intelligent and they know a player when they see one....undrafted, walk on at nebraska, beating out big name free agents for starting jobs....The Animal is the real deal and if we lose him The Answer will be very disheartened as he has big expectations for Scott being a key lynchpin in our defense this season....

seems you are the only person who has high expectations for Shanle, the COwboys sure as hell don't, that's why out of 2 weeks, he spent 1 day on the 1st team

hell, a rookie Olineman spent more on the 1st team than the almighty Shanle did

The AtlCB believes that the Answer consumed some mind altering substances prior to posting on this board tonight.
